Sofia + Sam Memory Foam Lap Desk with USB Light (5035)

I got this for my Husband has a Christmas gift . He loves it ! as do i . We both sit on the couch with our laptops and or tablets and we use pillows to hold up the laptops to bring them up higher for use. This table was the answer to our issues . It is very nice and also very comfortable as it has memory foam that sits on your lap . Also very sturdy and we love the light attachment that it comes with . It is a nice bright light and not a cheap dim light . I wish i got one for myself and hinted to my husband i like one of my own . I could not be happier with my choice in getting this as a gift for my husband . My husband uses this daily . It provides a great desk top for writing out bills or whatever and also for reading a book or using a laptop and tablet on . Great to take for travel . It has a handle and the light tucks in to a pocket and also it runs on batteries , so no cord to track around and you can use this anywhere and no need for a outlit to plug in . The light is nice and bright and lights up the surface that is needed . It is a good quality light . All in all i say this lap desk is by far one of the best i have seen . I would Recommend this lap desk to anyone who is looking for a good comfortable and sturdy and nice looking surface to work on and rest a laptop on. If you like to sit anywhere other then a desk and always on the go and in need of a work station that is able to go with you anywhere , then this is the lap top to get . The battery is tucked in a pocket with a zipper . Looks nice and very functional .

Ah, the good life. As I type this I am nestled cozily under the covers of my bed with my surface pro 3 sitting on my brand new sofia and sam's deluxe memory foam lap desk. No longer am I shackled to my desktop. This is a great laptop desk. Sofia and Sam seemed to have thought about just about everything when they designed this slacker's table... Comfort..... definitely 5 out of 5 stars. This rests easily on my legs and does not have any awkward angles or points. I like that the part that sits on you is NOT made of those little beads. This is foam all the way. And the wrist rest is thoughtfully placed. I wish it was removable for those times when I might not want a wrist rest but I can't imagine that would happen all that often. And, the added bonus of the wrist rest is that it keeps your laptop from sliding into you lap. Size.... For me, this is perfect. The surface pro 3 has a pretty small footprint, but this desk has plenty of room even for the big boys. A 17" laptop should have no problem on this thing. five out of five stars again. Looks..... not that looks matter, but for those of you concerned about it, this thing is a real looker. I bought the one with the black cushion. I was afraid it would look drab. It doesn't. another five out of five. Function..... You have got to love a company that goes the extra mile and this company certainly did. As I type this I've plugged in the little light that it comes with. It hardly seems bright at all and yet it is doing a very nice job illuminating the surface pro's keyboard. I don't really need it because I am not a college student who has to worry about keeping their roommate awake while I stay up till all hours writing a term paper (you can feel sorry for me.... people didn't own computers when I was in college and I had to pay someone handsomely to type my dissertation). So, if you need a light this is a good addition. I love how it stores away in the cushion and that you can find the battery compartment in the cushion as well. And yet when you look at this thing you can't tell that there is a light and a battery compartment stowing away. I really wanted to deduct a half a star for the fact that this thing doesn't open up at all to give you a place to store pens and paper or flash drives or backup drives or other computer peripherals. I think if Sofia and Sam come up with a second generation of this nifty lap desk they should consider a peripheral's compartment. But alas.... the fact that they thought of such a clever light and battery compartment makes up for the fact that they left out a little storage space. But lets not make that mistake again. So, function also gives this 5 out of 5. Whenever I am reviewing an item I try to also take into consideration the price paid. I am not going to hold a 20 dollar bluetooth speaker to the same standard as a sonos system. I will still point out pros and cons but will take price into account. When it comes to this laptop table/desk the fact is that the pricing was excellent. Very very reasonable for what you get. I think it was priced just right. BOTTOM LINE: Well crafted and well thought out. Highly recommend

It's a nice desk il you're sitting straight up using a couch, chair, etc. Doesn't work well with an adjustable bed. But using a headboard or wall would do. It's comfortable on your legs. I thought the handrest would bother me, but it also keeps laptop/books from sliding. The light is a nice feature, especially if you don't have good room lighting. It's a keeper.

What I do like about this lapdesk - the built-in light. My laptop doesn't have a backlit keyboard so it's nice to have the light. What I don't like, the padding is very stiff and the lapdesk sits way too high when I am on my bed or sofa. I bought this one to be a second lapdesk for my lake house where I work from home ( I have a flatter lapdesk that is older - which I like a lot, but doesn't have a light ). Trying to get the foam to be less bulky has meant turning the lapdesk upside down in front of a heater and standing on the foam to get it to be less bulky. I also thought I'd like the wrist rest for ergonomics, but I just removed it and now have a flat lapdesk. Much better. Also, I use a mouse along with my laptop but the surface is just a little tight for both - and the slant of the board toward my body is a pain because the mouse keeps sliding off onto the bed.. Overall, the light is awesome, the padding too much and the wrist rest, gone. The build quality of the components is top-notch and the intention of the product is pretty good. I'm not giving it 3 stars because I don't want to hurt the companies ratings, but overall, I just want to share my experience and how it has worked for me.

I am very please with this lap board. It is solidly made. And the light is perfect when I sit in bed at night. I will use it a lot!!

I love this lap desk! It arrived fairly quickly and the light helps when studying on my bed for school after the work day is done. The desk came in beautiful condition.

El producto es bonito y se ve de buena calidad. No es pesado y es muy fácil de usar en el sillón, en la cama, en donde sea que necesites usar el regazo como escritorio. Lo unico que mejoraría es que después de un rato, y dependiendo del clima, puede dar calor, pero con levantarte un rato o ponerlo en un costado es suficiente para seguirle otro rato más.

Considering how sturdy it is, it's pretty lightweight! The LED lamp that comes with it is great, although I'd plug it in to the USB port of a laptop if you're using it as a laptop stand (as it needs 4 batteries to power the USB socket in the cushion itself). Great size, comfortable to sit over your lap and stops the laptop overheating. I was originally on the fence about buying this because of the price, but it's worth it with the quality you get - a lot of laptop stands/cushions are really flimsy or uncomfortable.

あまり期待せずにいましたが購入してよかったです。 習い事の行き帰りに子供が車の中で宿題する時、安定した机になります。ものを食べる時、おく台がなかったのでちょうどいいみたいです。。かえりが遅くなるので、暗い車内でも、LEDライトのおかげで手元が見えるから便利みたいです。

Muy cómodo y resistente. La lámpara no ilumina mucho pero no es tan necesario en mi caso. Muy recomendable producto.
