It works just the same as the hospital edition. The alarm is loud enough to wake you if sleeping. Easy to use just place it on the chair or in the bed light weight and wipe with warm water to clean and use disinfectant

It definitely alerts me when he gets up. He can’t understand that he is not to get up alone.

Good value, reliable
Worked well for my dad who was a fall risk due to ALS with frontal lobe dementia. Did have a few false alarms when he would scoot down to the edge of the chair. This was a good thing though, because we could reposition him before he was too far down.
