Amazon Basics PAR20 LED Light Bulb, 50W Equivalent, 7W Energy Efficient, E26 Standard Base, Warm White 3000K, Dimmable, 10,000 Hour Lifetime, 6-Pack

Nice directional bulbs that have a very long lifespan, estimated at 10,000 hours. I used these to replace the conventional (spherical) bulbs in the hanging lamp over my kitchen table. The result was that the light was directed directly down, rather than everywhere, illuminating the walls and ceiling. Sometimes you want light just oriented in one direction, in this case downward. This was the perfect bulb choice since if fully illuminated the table, nothing else (for the most part). It worked perfectly. The bulbs are of good quality, and there are six in this set. Very happy with these. They suited my needs perfectly. First try... they didn't work in my range hood BUT I found that the little copper tab as flattened against the top of the socket. The old bulbs touched but these new once didn't. I bent the copper tab in the socket down just a tiny bit and put the bulbs back in. They work great on both the low and the high settings in the range hood now. Very nice light and a warm enough color.

Pros: Outdoor accent up lights (4). I liked the color better than my current bulbs. The price was also less than the increased price of the Phillips bulbs I have prviouly used. I would have rated them a total 5 but: Cons: They bottom out before they reached the rubber seal. I am worried about rain getting in and shorting the bulbs. I am going to ty to wrap rubber tape around the bulb and see if the will seal without getting too hot.

We sure wanted these LED lights to work in our Broan range hood…and they did…until we wanted to turn it off. Turns out our Broan range hood is not compatible with LED lights. They will turn to high, medium, and low, but they don’t turn off. I’m uncertain of the Broan switch design since I didn’t want to take it all apart but I’m guessing there must be a relay that won’t switch unless there’s enough current going through it. It would not switch off and the lights remained on just at a dimmer setting. I put a voltmeter on it and saw there was still 97V AC still going to the lights. The only way to get them to turn off was to remove both bulbs or put in one halogen bulb. Hmmm…a quick hit of the internet now knowing the right things to search for and I found a Broan page stating this very issue. The solution? Use halogen bulbs. It’s funny how easy it is to find something on the internet once you know the problem. Sure wish I had found that BEFORE ordering the lights, but that’s how it goes. Hindsight is always 20-20. I rated these lights 5 stars because it is not Amazon’s fault the Broan range hood won’t work with them. We loved the light output. We loved the idea of using less electricity. We loved the idea of so much less heat being generated by them. They are 5 stars. And we love free returns for situations like this. The halogens I had to order are working perfectly.

I got a corner china hutch and the bulb was out. I found these and they work perfect! I do wish they were a little brighter but it could just be the room it’s in has no windows

These bulbs were exactly what I needed for my can lights in my kitchen. I love the direct spot effect that you get from them which really concentrates the light for a work surface. The dimnability is also superior.

Got these to replace the halogen bulbs on a Broan Allure Range Hood that has a "Low" and "High" switch for the lights. The "Full" worked well. The bulbs, a bit smaller than the halogens, screwed easily into the hood and when turned on, provided bright light onto the stove top. When switched to the"Low" setting, they went out- nothing. Switching the On/Off back and forth a few times got the bulbs to light up, but they flickered very noticeably. Just trying the On in the dim setting again got no light. These are decent in the high setting but can't handle the dim setting on this Broan range hood - it's all or nothing. There aren't many LED choices for this size bulb, but this isn't one I'm going to use on this range hood. I may find a non-dimmable spot for them as they are small and don't use much power. 3-stars - They fit and work on high, but not low.

The bulbs work as intended, a year later they are still nice and bright. Totally recommended!!

Good bulbs so far, longevity seems to be the problem with many of these LED bulbs, will update if they start dieing.

These bulbs were for my my range hood fan and they are a perfect fit and the light is bright and dimmable so all around perfect!

I replaced my incandescent Par 20 Light Bulbs with these LEDS and couldn't be happier. The rate light output is 500 Lumens but these Amazon Basics LED Bulbs seem much brighter than the previous incandescent bulbs. The color temperature says it's warm white 3000K which is pleasant on the eye however these LEDS are cooler white than the previous incandescent bulbs which were rated at 2700K. Installation was simple of course and the new LED bulbs cunsume less energy and don't heat up like incandescent or halogen bulbs. ••• Dimmable? ••• The product listing says these lights are dimmable and due to their brightness a dimmer is a good idea. We have Lutron dimmers in our home and Lutron Caseta dimmers for smart switches. The Bulbs do dim somewhat however the dimming range is about 50% less than the halogen or incandescent bulbs. At about 30% these LED will start to flicker so they can only be dimmed down to about 30% where the standard bulbs can go down to 5%. These lights are silent when turned on and do not hum even when dimmed down to 30%. Overall I like these Amazon Basics Par 20 LED light bulbs. They were $15.99 for a two pack, including free prime shipping at the time of my review which is a good price and value. I would purchase them again and would recommend them
