Fantastic boots that made it through snow!! Even after several years of ownership.
I've had these boots for probably 5 years now, and I could have sworn I bought them on Amazon but I can't find my link. I still feel compelled to write a review on them after this past weekend. I love these boots so much. I go through periods where I wear them daily for months, and then I've gone time where they literally just get thrown in my closet all bent up with other stuff on them. They've got some scuffs, but they are well loved.. They are comfortable, true to size, look fantastic even throughout me gaining a pretty significant amount of weight (you can loosen the laces to fit a wider calf, but they also fit great when I was skinnier), and they have lasted me a remarkable amount of time and outlasted similar boots I've had that cost way more.I recently took my 6-year-old to the snow for the first time and realized I didn't have any snow boots. I did have a bottle of weather proofer under my sink, so the morning of the trip I sprayed all the seams, the zipper, and basically the entire side and heel area from about ankle down. I doubled my socks, rolled up my jeans, and went for it. After running around in the snow (about 6 inches to a foot deep) for over an hour my feet were dry. We went to the local gift shop area and walked around in the disgusting slush and still my feet were dry. A bit cold, as these boots are not intended to be winter or harsh weather boots, but they worked and my feet were bone dry by the time I got home. My husband, on the other hand, wore his suede military boots and his feet were soaked after 15 minutes. I want to point out that I am not suggesting people buy these to wear in the snow all the time. If you need snow boots buy snow boots, but these can get you through some inclement weather in a pinch. If you move the bottom lace hole and tongue by the top of your foot it's just open to your sock. So if you were truly trudging around in snow above your ankle you will probably have wet feet. There's no internal backing behind the laces to keep wet out if you got a bunch of snow shoved in there. I kept my laces tight and sprayed that area with the weather proofer and I luckily didn't have any snow get in.I absolutely recommend these boots to anyone looking for an awesome pair of combat boots. Throw a good insole in there, take the time to properly weatherproof them (I clearly did a rush job), and you will have great boots at a ridiculous price that can make it through rain, and even some snow!

True to Size and Great Quality
These are some of my favorite boots. I have been purchasing them (though not through Amazon always) since I was about 18! This makes the third pair that I have had and I have to say I absolutely love them.

Mostly Happy!
I got these boots because my last pair (which I had for close to a decade) finally wore out, and I’m on a limited budget. These are decent, for the price, at least so far! (I haven’t worn them out and about much yet, so we’ll see how that holds up.) They feel pretty comfortable, even from the start, which is surprising to me. I was expecting to have to break them in more, but they’re already feeling decent! My two complaints- the tongue of the boot was sewn to the inner panel of each boot, which makes the boot warp if you have even slightly thicker calves (all my pictures show the attached point and the difference between attached vs unattached). I ended up taking seam rippers and removing the thread so the tongue can be fully adjusted and centered. The other is the strap- because it’s sewn into the boot and not a full wrap around, anyone with calves thicker than mine (approx 15.5in around) is going to struggle with the fit.

Good quality for a good price
I was skeptical because of the low price, but I'm on a budget and my everyday boots needed replaced. However, these were higher quality than expected. They're also a bit small and run narrow, which is great because I often struggle to find boots that don't look too loose on my calves. Would buy again.

Will last for ages
I got a pair of these about 10 years ago. They lasted until just a few months ago. When they started to go, they went all at once, but it took ages to get there. Up until then, they were the most comfy boots. I would wear them when I had to do a lot of walking. I did would wear them to do stunt fights in. The straps around the top went first, they ristrictred my calves from fitting in the boots and ended up getting cut off after one popped at the seam. After that, the seams started to give. I will say, for vinyl, they didn't start flaking, even in high wear zones. Id' get another pair, but I'd have to cut the straps around the top off immediately. My legs are too thicc now and they are not very forgiving of that fact.100% would buy again if they had adjustible fit in the calf.

Love Them!
Once I like a particular thing, I stay pretty faithful to it. I had a pair of boots that looked almost identical to these but cost me twice as much. After almost 15 years of wear, they were starting to look shabby; Another coat of shoe polish wasn't going to hide all those scuffs anymore. When I saw these "Volatile" Women's Boot Camp Combat Boot, I was impressed with how much they resembled my old pair, but extremely skeptical that they would be as nice or as reliable. I love when a product proves me wrong and calls me out on my pessimistic side! Guess you could say these boots kinda kicked some sense into me when they arrived! I ususally can wear either an 8.5 or a 9, but because I have fairly bad bunions on both feet, most 8.5's are too tight on me in the toe. I ordered the 9, and this was a smart move. These boots feel sturdy (only time will tell if they hold up or have problems. I'm about 5'7 and have somewhat too skinny, long legs. These boots did not give me any trouble. They went on and zipped up with zero struggle. The height went just below my knees, which was what I wanted. The material did not have that stiff, inflexible feel when you're walking around in them. And they were absolutely comfortable. All things considered, Volatile is a bargain, and if you're on the fence about them, I think you'll be happy if you take the chance and buy them. I'm glad I did!
