Makes any lipstick last forever
This lipstick sealant works amazingly well. After using it for several years, the following are tips/advice based on my personal experience with it, which may be helpful to others: 1.) It works best when used as a sealant on โnormalโ lipstick. By this I mean lipstick in a basic lipstick tube, it doesnโt matter what brand, what finish, etc. 2.) It *can* work as a sealant over some of the longer wearing lip products (that in theory should last on their own but donโt ) and even in some instances on top of a gloss layered over a long wearing lip products. 3.) #2 is highly dependent on trial and error & layering the products thinly with just enough time to dry but not too much 4.) You MUST apply the sealant in a thin coat on your lips & keep your lips parted & stretched open for several seconds in order to allow it to dry, or it will NOT work. Do not attempt to press your lips together to spread the sealant around. This will not work. You must use the brush to paint it on and wait for it to dry. 5.) Do NOT put anything over the sealant. Yes, it will make your lips slightly drier looking. No, you cannot pop on a little gloss or balm on top. No, you cannot have the glossiest, most dewy lip color AND a long wearing one at the same time. You can achieve a compromise between the two goals. 6.) Only use one coat. More than one coat has the opposite effect. 7.) Be sure and screw the lid on tightly each time you open/close it. It evaporates easily. 8.) Use vaseline or something similar to remove it and the rest of your lip color & lip color goes on best if you have used a toothbrush or other manual method to gently remove dead skin. Use Vaseline or similar on bare lips at night. 9.) If you have a cut nick on your lips, yes this will burn. 10.) Itโs worth it.๐ Your lip color really will stay on for hours and hours.

WORKS GOOD; BUT NOT ALL DAY
This lipstick sealer goes on with a little brush; I find that 2-3 separate coats (let each dry first) works well. Also, wipe the brush off on a tissue before putting back inside bottle to avoid color transference. It doesn't cause me any irritation or stinging as many reviewers have stated. Not sure why this is different from one person to the next, but maybe that chapped or very dry lips can contribute to the issue. I gave this product 4 stars; the only reason it did not receive 5 is due to its claim of keeping the lipstick on all day. Although it certainly does help retain lip color far longer than not using a sealer, you'll still transfer color (albeit not as much) when drinking, eating, smooching, etc. I've tried the product with several of my lipsticks, different brands and colors, and it does seem to work better with some versus other brands. However, no brand could stand up to all day wear unless you refrain from food, water, licking the lips, etc.

Okay.
This burns. The brush is too small for my lips and it takes forever to apply and when applying it tickles because the brush is so tiny. The makeups stays longer but if you put too much it makes a lipstick film and flakes off. There is a fine line between too little and too much, as well.

It burns badly.
This did keep my lip color on for more that 30 minutes. However, it burns terribly. Then I looked at the ingredients ... Ethanol, Ethyl Cellulose, Beautyl Stearate, Rosin, Benzoin and Fragrance. Ethanol, Ethyl Cellulose, Beautyl Stearate, Rosin, Benzoin and Fragrance. Ethanol, Ethyl Cellulose, Beautyl Stearate, Rosin, Benzoin and Fragrance. Ethanol? Isn't that put into our automobile gasoline?

Seal your matte lipstick
It is a small bottle but you only use a little. It is very fluid. It goes on easily and does help with longevity. It has a little burn to me but only for a minute. Itโs almost like nail polishing your lips. It does not make your matte lipstick glossy. But thatโs not the purpose. A little fragrance to it but I canโt describe it. Itโs not earth shattering. Give it a try!

Really works
This really works! My lipstick lasts a lot longer when I wear it. Be warned, it burns a little when you put it on. Feels like alcohol is in it.

Stops lipstick bleed absolutely!
Purchased in an attempt to stop lipstick bleed which has stopped me wearing lipstick over the last few years. Works like a charm. Never have lipstick bleed now and can wear anytime I want!

Definitely does the job for sealing lip color!
The stuff is phenomenal! It's awesome for putting on top of your lip stains or lipsticks and it'll seal it so that you don't wash it off. However it does dry out your lips so it will flake off eventually but otherwise it's so cool! Very strong burnt/rubbing alcohol type sensation when applied for a few moments then dries matte.

I tried to like it...
I have been using this for a little over 3 months now (almost everyday 3-4 days max. Only on days when I wear a bright coloured lip colour). The consistency is very liquidy. Almost like clear nail polish but thinner. I apply it all over my lips after 5 mins (or until dry) of applying my lip colour (lip stick). When you apply the sealer, it feels very cold and tingly. So if you have any sores or cuts on your lips, it might sting. But not a big deal for me. I then let it dry for a good 10-15 mins (or however long it takes until I don't see anymore shine) and making sure I don't drink or eat anything, or smack my lips together (or else the color will just feather and transfer on the other lip). I usually leave it alone without having a drink for an hour in the morning during my commute. Overall, I think it seals the lip colour just a little bit. However, I notice that it really really dries out my lips. I always exfoliate and put lip balm first then liner and or just lipstick. Then the sealer. And since it's drying, it makes any of my lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, matte balms, lip liner, very feathery or cracked looking. Filling the cracks and making the colour look uneven. Also, you cannot dab or put lip balm or gloss on top of the sealer even after 1 hour after application because it will smudge it. (I don't ever put gloss on top of the sealer because I like it matte looking). I was kind of disappointed seeing as this was an extremely expensive purchase for a product in which the entire liquid content of it is no more than the length of your thumb. I think you're better off buying liquid lipsticks like Kat Von D (I use Lolita II) and finding another matte sealer (if there are any out there). I'm so bummed about this! I really wanted to love it and gave it so many chances!

There is a trick to using this
There is a trick to using lipstick sealers to get them to work properly. Follow these steps and this will help keep your lipstick sealed for hours 1. Make sure that your lips are clean, exfoliated, and dry 2. Apply lipstick to both lips 3. Blot with a tissue 4. Apply lipstick again 5. Blot with a tissue 6. Put a thin layer of lipstick sealer on both lips. It is very important to let it dry before touching lips back together. Your lips may tingle for a bit which is normal. I find that if I follow these steps my lipstick will last 4-5 hours instead of 30 minutes. Also, try not to run your lips together too much when you have the sealer on, it will rub it off and your lipstick will go with it.
