Moultrie Game Spy A-5 Gen2 Low Glow IR Digital Trail Hunting Cameras (2 Pack)

The media could not be loaded.  Fantastic cameras. I got one for Christmas last year and have over 500 high resolution pictures of deer, Racoons, Fox, Coyotes, rabbits, and even a night owl catching a mouse. When I saw these (2 for $126) I jumped on them. They are exactly the same and worked perfect right out of the box. I have one other brand that cost twice as much but is very poor quality to the point where you can see the pixels in every picture. I read one review that said water got in. I have had mine out in every thunderstorm for a year and never had an issue. I do see where the clips are not adjustable so a shim may be needed if it doesn't seal but there is a rain edge that should keep the water out.Update on these cameras. I said they were the best and they must be. A thief walked all through my woods. and left the other cameras but stole these. Word of caution. I now have my address etched deep into the others on all sides. If you do that they can't sell them and if they put them up people will let me know.I highly recommend this brand and model.

so far they have been great. waterproof seems to work fine, day-time and night-time pics are awesome. cameras hit everything that walks in front of them. In five days they took around 350 pics and 75% of them were of deer. The only advice I can give is I would take a laptop computer or some other type of camera when you are setting up the cameras to your desired aiming position. Just walk in front of the camera a little bit, take the SD card out and put it in the mobile device that you brought along and you can see exactly where the camera needs to be. not to mention that this method is so much faster for setup.

I'm not happy with these cameras. They take good daylight and twilight pictures but just won't take nighttime pictures. Once in awhile, you can see the outline of an animal and maybe an eye at night but that's about it. I contacted Moultrie because they told me the problem was not something they could tell me how to fix over the phone. I got cameras back, I think they sent 2 new ones back, but no paperwork telling me what the problem had been or what they had done with the cameras I sent( repaired or replaced). I wouldn't recommend these cameras but I've heard the A8's are better.

The cameras work fine, good range, clear pictures. The only thing I didn't like was that it only takes one picture at a time. You can't set it to take a series of 3 pictures each time it is tripped. The cameras I've had in the past always had that setting available and I assumed that this camera would have that also. That was my bad, the ad didn't say it had that setting. Otherwise the cameras are great.

I purchased these cameras because of the price and the fact Moultrie has been in business for quite some time. The cameras re a great entry level camera. The fact that there is a full minute between shutter activation is a little annoying, but I just out it on video mode and capture 10 second videos to compensate. The picture and video quality is great for the cost of these cameras. Setup is quite easy in comparison to other brands.

Setup was easy. The photos, though not of high quality, are certainly good enough to let me see what's prowling around in my woods at night. The mation sensor has triggered for large animals such as deer, and for some very small ones such as squirrels and chipmunks. So its sensitive enough. All in all, its a good camera for the money.

These cameras are junk. Neither of them worked and they were brand new out of the box. Sent both back to Moultrie and did not get good customer service at all. They lost one of them and then took over two months to replace them. By then the season had already begun and I had no trail cameras in the woods. The only good thing that happened was instead of Moultrie sending me back two A-5's they first sent me to A-8's which is supposed to be a better camera. Then about 3 weeks later another A-8 showed up which was nice to get 3 cameras in lieu of 2 and of "better" quality but to be honest I had problems with the A-8's as well. They do not work consistently and I will NEVER buy another Moultrie camera again.If you want a decent camera for lower costs I have had great luck with the Wildgame Innovations ones. If I could give this product a 1/2 star I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

I bought these trail cams to catch whoever was messing with my camper well I caught the guy He stole something from my camper then he saw the trail cam stole the trail cam but the other trail cam caught him got my trail came back and he had to fix my camper.
