Dirt Devil Turbo Plus Bagged Canister Vacuum, SD30050

I'm writing this after many years since I bought it...This vacuum cleaner is just amazing! The suction power could almost compete to my 6.5 peak hp shop vac I have in my shop! I'm surprised on how good this product is every time I use it!

Works great on hardwood, linoleum, etc. Not so great for thick carpet work. It can handle a little, but if most of your house is carpeted you'll need something more heavy duty. This is an inexpensive unit, so judge it for what it is, not for the fact it can't do everything a $200 vacuum can do. I like the "reach" of it, the accessories and the small foot-print. Wish it had a longer power cord. Satisfied overall.

Just got the vacuum and it looks as though someone had already repacked it once before. In short, the retracting plug won't retract and it won't pick up things well even from a wood floor. Forget carpet. The air powered brushes don't work. Nice idea but it doesn't work. And I also found the smell coming from this new vacuum strange. It's on it's way back to where it came from. Don't buy this vacuum.

I ordered this vacuum because the very expensive other model that I have needs repair that I just can't afford right now and this was on sale plus I had a gift card so I hardly paid anything out of pocket. I read all the reviews on Amazon as well as other sites about this vacuum cleaner and thought for what I need it for and until I can afford to fix my other it should work fine. I am a self employed housekeeper and have used many vacuums in my years of cleaning. I have used this vacuum to clean my whole house, about 1100 sq.ft. mostly low pile carpet. It has very nice suction, but if you have a lot of carpet like I do I would recommend getting an upright vacuum for the carpet or a canister vacuum that has a power head brush for carpets as this one drags a bit on carpet. It works great on hard floors, and it would work well for a home with more hard floors and just a few area rugs. I am disappointed by the turbo brush attachment the first time I turned it on to vacuum the couch the brush roll wouldn't turn and even after checking the belt it doesn't seem to work well. As I said the suction however is very nice, its has a lot of power for the price. Had this been the first canister I had ever used I would have given it a much higher score for the suction alone, but I am partial to my more expensive power head with all the on board attachments, especially for carpet. Oh and just to mention there is a space for the two smaller attachments on the handle, but they always fall off. In short I'm giving it 3 stars because for the price and the suction power you get it's not a bad little vacuum. Pretty easy to maneuver around and great for getting under beds and other furniture.

Be aware!! Not good for carpeting!!! Vacuum turbo beater brush worked only 4 times before it stopped rotating. I had read the reviews before I bought it and cleaned out the turbo powered beater brush after each time I used it and it stopped working anyway. The small turbo powered attachment has also quit working. The suction on this vacuum is fabulous, just don't count on the turbo working for long if you have carpet and/or pets. I have a small apt and the carpet area is only about 15x12, so it definitely was not heavy duty use. I'm keeping the vacuum to use on the furniture and for dusting because the suction is fantastic and I also bought 20 replacement bags because I got an excellent deal on them at the time.

I have used dirt devil vacs for years. I love that they are lightweight and powerful. I purchased the dirt devil turbo canister in August 2013. The turbo piece for rugs and the little power piece no longer work, they are useless. I only have area rugs, so they were not used that much to shut down so soon. I am very disappointed. the floor piece work great, and as I have tile and hardwood I will still use it. I just purchase the featherlight upright bagged, we will see how it works.

I really love this product. It is light-weight but but is very powerful. It is easy to operate and have very few parts requiring frequent replacement or cleaning. Although light-weight, the product is quite adequate for heavy-duty clean up of moderate sized homes.

I purchased this as it was a 12 amp vac and the suction power is excellent. The cord is too short as I am constantly stopping and plugging it into the next outlet in the house. The hose connection in the "waste bag" is "iffy" you pull the vac along with the hose and if the connection isn't perfect and if the hose is pulled too tight the connection becomes loose and you now have "waste" spilling into the bag compartment.

excellent product, pleasantly surprised by the quality of manufacturing. The wheels are silent and goes without problem. The strength of the engine is more than adequate, me I spent vacuuming at mi-force and the power was there. Also for the carpet at the entrance of the House, especially winter, with sand and salt which accumulate, I put power to the maxium with broom brush rotating, wow! perfect The tubes are of good quality, several brushes come with everything. Really very satisfied, I would recommend this vacuum to anyone.

Suction is decent and this vacuum is light and easy to maneuver. Only real complaint I out have is that the cord could be longer.

I received it broken and the power cord doesn’t pull automatically.. it’s really bad experience not recommended at all

Good for the money. Quite loud. Power head only works / rotates when the suction is cranked to max. First use leaves a new/plastic smell in the air. I suggest using a carpet freshner in the bag to reduce the smell. Nice and light. Product is ok.
