Home Accent White Wood Carved Top Sofa Console Table

Wanted a window table that my kitten could sit on in the window, as well as hold a plant, a book, or framed photo or two. The lower shelf is a really nice aspect, offering more shelf space plus contributing to it's stability. This table fits the bill perfectly and is really pretty as well. It's sturdy, went together in like ten minutes, and isn't overly heavy, though it is made quite well and the price is fair. It sits under the window of my guest bedroom which has a Victorian theme and looks beautiful. So glad I bought it!

I love the shabby chic, french country look and I thought this table would be a great addition to my decor at a low price. But it's pretty much what you pay for. The quality of the "wood" looks a bit like drywall. The carvings have an odd black streak around them - perhaps it wasn't painted properly? This table looks great from afar, fits nicely with the rest of my shabby chic decor (I use it as a sofa table) and is sturdy enough to hold about 20+ magazines on the bottom shelf. The pieces are very easy to assemble in less than 15 minutes.

I wanted these tables to put my plants on because I was moving to an apt with narrow windowsills. I needed a place to allow my plants to receive adequate light. The tables (I bought 2 of them), were really great for this purpose. Easy to assemble. Attractive. I received many compliments on them. After a month, I noticed that they were a little hard to clean when dusty or if anything dripped on them, due to their matte finish. Today, I had some white oil paint out for another project and I was inspired to paint the bottom shelf...amazing. So, then I painted the top shelf. This was with a gloss oil paint. They look wonderful and now the surfaces are sealed ; waterproof and washable. Just one quick coat did the trick and the paint went on very easily using a foam brush. . They look like expensive tables...you'd think they've been in the family for years!

It's okay I guess for the price. But there were so many cracks but they were where no one could see them, it was dirty and looked used, had stickers all over it even though they didn't need to even be labeled and the huge ones wouldn't even peel off, and one of the bottom legs wouldn't screw in like it should have but my husband fixed it after about 5 tries. It's a cheap table but when put together it's pretty. Just don't put anything on it you plan to move because the cheap paint makes marks from EVERYTHING! I tried to put some vinyl records on it and just the paper alone made all kinds of marks so just know it's not for actual everyday use, just for decoration.

Unlike far too much flat-packed furniture, this piece is an absolute BREEZE to put together! I honestly think I finished it in 5 minutes. I don't think I have ever finished anything from Ikea in less than 30 minutes (and usually over an hour for tables and desks), so this was the main draw for me.. In terms of its appearance, it will not be considered you "finest" piece of furniture, but it looks fine and does the job it is supposed to do. If the paint finishing were more high-end, I would give this table 5 stars, but it's a cheap flat finish that does a poor job of looking "distressed". But if you put a piece of glass on it, it should be fine. I needed this table as an emergency desktop and it perfectly solved my issue. I am very pleased.

My use of this is kind of unusual. I got this to put next to my chair-and-a-half so I could put my CPU on the bottom shelf and attach my monitor on a swing-arm, so I could sit in a comfy chair while I use my computer. The carving on the top creates holes, so I was able to use some holes for cord management and one hole near the edge as a grommet hole for the Ergotron computer arm. It's not what it was designed for, but it works great. I can sink back with my feet up with the keyboard in my lap (compact keyboard with a touch pad). It's very pretty, too; would be nice in a hallway or behind a sofa. Great for the price, and works well for my improvised use.

I have been looking far and wide for an inexpensive console table that looks unique and still fits into my budget. The piece came nicely wrapped and was really easy to put together. It is made out of solid wood and has a really nice shabby chic paint job on it with distressing in the corners. This piece would sell for much more in any store and it really brings my room together. I would totally buy it again!

Some of the holes do nit line up correctly. A small gap. But you have look underneath to see the defect.
