Nostalgic
Absolutely what I would expect from Schylling! It's great quality, feels durable like an old Schylling top would feel like, the colors are bright and fun, it spins perfectly, and I do hear the hum that brings back childhood memories! The price is perfect for what you get as well.

Spinning tin tops are so much fun! Easy to use for 3, 4, 6 and 8 yr olds grands.
Great as a gift or to keep at home for when grandkids come for a visit. Well made andhighly recommend. Great gift idea if you have a child who likes to watch spinning things. Get several and see who can get theirs to spin the longest! Great fun for all ages! Highly recommend and would buy again in a heartbeat. And actually, I've already purchased three! We took one with us in a bag up to a fall parade on main street and the kids, 4 and 3 had fun spinning as we waited for the parade to start! Would be great to take along while waiting for a doctor's appointment.

Great, REAL old-fashioned spinning top!
This is one of my favorite things in my box of "Things Kid's Don't Know Anymore." I am a teacher and there are still a LOT of things in learning materials that kids no longer see. Things like thimbles, spools, jacks, funnels, and TOPS! Some have seen the little ones you spin with your fingers, but few know what a REAL SPINNING TOP is. Their eyes light up and they watch in awe when I pull it out of my box, pump the handle and it spins and hums! The quality is superb! If you're into "antique" toys, this one is a must have!

Well worth the money.
My kiddos loved them instantly. They didn't get bored in the first 15 minutes so I think it's a win! Value for money, worth it!

Difficult to make spin
It does not spin well. Two 5 year olds, my granddaughter (30 something), and myself, were trying to spin it, and could not get it to work as it should. I remember having them as a child but did not have any problem making them spin. You have to have it perfectly straight before letting go to make it spin.

Nice fun metal top.
. I bought this because I had one when I was a child. Nice fun gift. Are a few more plastic parts and they're wearing the '70s lol. It's going to be a little smaller than you remember.
