I agree with the prior review - I expected this hide to be bigger, but I do like it. The only danger is that it looks hand-sculpted and probably without the animal's safety in mind - I found sharp edges on the inside and one very big piece of material that was hidden inside probably with a finger and had hard sharp edges along its perimeter. I used a file to file some down and knock some off with a hammer, using the file as a chisel.

This is super tiny. It would work best for baby turtles. Our turtle was about 3 yrs old and too big to bask at the top. It is very heavy and sturdy though. It is an overall good value for your money just unfortunate that it's not bigger.

When I pick up the box, I can hear the clinking sound. I think that doesn't sound right. I then open the package and find out the product is broken in pieces. It is wrapped in a piece of paper and it's not taped or sealed on one end. The thin bubble wrap doesn't do anything when one end is open.

I got this for my leopard gecko and she loves it! The built-in hide, whether intentional or not, has become one of her favorite spots to take a nap. I really recommend it for leos!
