Perfect solution, great for games
So a few years ago I bought a refurbished Dell computer, it had the video card upgrade, decent system RAM and was basically what I needed in a computer. about a year later I upgraded the video card to an m-audio unit because I record music, I absolutely love that card. a little less than 2 years ago I became interested in video games for the first time in some years, Diablo 2 was the last game I was greatly enthusiastic about, in order to put the era in context. although I had an "upgraded" video card (Ati radeon 5450), I was having trouble running modern video games at high resolution. (1080P monitor) there were some things I could change about my computer, I upgraded the RAM to the full 8 gigabytes my motherboard was capable of using. I had a problem in the video card department, my computer has a 400 watt power supply and most video cards they were compatible and would provide me the horsepower I needed to play the game, required more power than my system had Available. I put the search for a video card on the back burner and only resumed looking about a month ago. this card was one of the newly available options that was literally plug and play, no need to upgrade my power supply, I literally swap the card into my computer and restarted. What an amazing difference... not only can I run all my games at higher resolutions, I can run them at Ultra settings. I feel compelled to replay games that I finished because the difference in graphic quality is so drastic. not just the increased level of detail, but there are no more chops or glitches, the frame rate is smooth, it may be perceptive but I feel the graphics are more vivid and that I am seeing animations now that the other card simply missed. simply put this card turned my middle-of-the-road computer into a gaming monster, now I don't have the requirements of a pro level gamer playing online MMORPG or lord only knows what type of demanding software. but for the current generation of first person shooters and third person ARPG's, this card performs flawlessly. Notes: -Pciex 2 slot (in my system) -No power supply needed -Quiet & cool -Easy install & setup -Great software that with low memory usage -Powerful enough to run any game i have tried. ( Gta V, middle-Earth -shadow of mordor, bioshock infinite) Update - 9-30-2015 - love it more by the day. Now running two monitors, still kicking ass.

Inexpensive way to turn my Desktop PC into a Gaming PC
I'm looking for graphic card upgrade to my Asus M32CD desktop computer. I want a card powerful enough to play most of today's video games, without spending hundreds of dollars on it. After much market research, I decided on this EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphic card . There are three versions of the GTX 750 card available on the same Amazon product page: 'Ti FTW', 'Ti SC' and 'Ti'. Here are the differences: - The 'Ti FTW' version consumes more power than the other two (80W vs. 60W). So instead of getting all its power from PCI bus, it requires extra power connection from the PC power supply box. - 'Ti' and 'Ti SC' are essentially the same card, expect the latter is over-clocked from 1020MHz base clock to 1176MHz, or 15% higher. I selected the 'Ti' version because it was a few dollars cheaper, and I don't care for the marginal improvement offered by the other two versions. What I did not realize at that time was that this card has no VGA port. Instead it comes with a 'DVI-I to VGA' adapter that you need to connect between the card and your monitor. It works well as long as you don't expect to use a DVI-I monitor and a VGI-monitor at the same time. Also, the adapter added extra depth to the back of your PC. [Installation] Installation is most straightforward… if you know what you are doing. Here are some simple steps to follow: 1. Shutdown the PC and unplug its AC power cord 2. Remove the side panel or entire case to expose the mother board 3. Locate the PCI-Express slot near the back panel (see my uploaded picture for example) 4. Remove the two metal pieces closest to the PCI-Express slot 5. Push the graphic card into the PCI-Express slot until it clicks 6. Close the case, connect monitor to one of the output ports on the card 7. Reconnect AC power cord and power up the PC [Graphic Benchmark] I ran the 3DMARK Sky Diver benchmark program to check the performance of my PC, both before and after the graphic card upgrade. See my uploaded screenshots for details BEFORE: - Overall rating=3228 - Graphics score=2959 - Physics score=6327 The above suggest that the GPU (Intel HD Graphic 530) is the bottleneck while the CPU (Intel Core i5 6400) is adequate. AFTER: - Overall rating=12703 (4x better) - Graphics score=14775 (5x better) - Physics score=6974 (almost unchanged) [Gaming Performance] Before the upgrade, my PC was able to handle most 3rd-person shooter games (such as League of Legends ) smoothly. But it struggles to keep up with newer 1st-person shooter games. For example, I tried the latest Blizzard game Overwatch and found it barely playable. The movement is jerky, with noticeable pixelation and aliasing effects. Good thing I'm ready to upgrade my graphic card. After the upgrade, the difference is like night and day. Overwatch now runs perfectly smooth on my PC, even with everything turned to maximum resolution and details. But of course, smoother graphic does not help me to stay alive. [Conclusion] I’m very happy with my graphic card upgrade. For a relatively small investment, I have improved the gaming performance of my desktop PC by 4-5 times. I consider this approach much better than buying a new low-end Gaming PC. [Update on July 4, 2016] I also tested a low-end MSI GeForce GT 710 card in my computer, but its performance is much worse. The GT 710 scored just 2762 in 3DMARK Sky Diver, while the GTX 750 Ti scored 12703. I'm glad that I made the right decision going with the 750.

Great game card. Better than a PS4.
This is an amazing gaming card for the price. In fact, I bought two, one for my son and one for my nephew (both have birthdays the same week). But be aware, an i3 or preferably i5 processor chip is needed to feed the card at 100%, or it just lags along at about 20% of its capability. For example, the desktop had an intel G2030 cpu (dual core, 3Ghz max speed, no turbo mode). After installing the EVGA card, the G2030 was running 100% while running any video game, but the EVGA card was only running 20%. So the CPU was replaced with an intel i5-3470 cpu (3rd gen i5, quad core, 3.2Ghz, 3.6Ghz turbo mode max). Now the i5 CPU runs 50-70%, while the EVGA card is running at 100% (as it should) and the game action is amazing. No glitching, no freezing, great detail, and all games are run at max resolution, max textures, shading, reflections, etc smooth as silk using a HDMI connection at 1080p resolution. By comparison, my son has the latest model PS4, and this EVGA video card blows away the PS4 for detail and realism in game play on the same 52" HDTV screen. If you want to update a desktop with this EVGA game card, make sure your desktop has: - I5 or better CPU (I bought two used I5-3470 off ebay for about $90 each, free shipping) - 8GB memory - 300 watt power supply (although you can get away with a 250 watt) Additional fans may be needed to handle the heat from the EVGA card. If the CPU is upgraded, be sure to upgrade the CPU heat sink and fan assembly or it can cook itself. Note, this card is too tall to fit in low profile desk top computers. It fits the classic tower style PCs. If you need a low profile version of this nVidea, GeForce GTX 750TI card, MSI makes a low profile version. Same performance, same nVidea chips. I know, I put it in my own low profile desk top PC. PS. I build and repair computers for a living.

The perfect VGA
This is the perfect graphics card. Price is high in my opinion, i purchased at even higher price ($165) but i would even pay $200 for it...i wanted this card, this model, this size, this chip, this performance, this TDP and NO OTHER VGA!!!!! I have been waiting for a card exactly like this one since 2010 but technology was not available at that time to implement a powerful card with no power cord required. I upgraded from a MSI Cyclone OC with nVidia GTS 450 with GDDR5 memory. This card did everything i wanted. I just upgraded for the form factor (for my itx build) and power consumption. I use my graphics card for programming Direct3D 9, 11 and OpenGL 2 & 4. nVidia is for me because i have done a couple of CUDA programs and a platform as mature as CUDA is available only in nVidia gfx chips. Also i now have access to the latest PTX features in CUDA thanks to the Maxwell architecture. nVidia is really doing something big in such as small form factor with this architecture. I can't even imagen what the 800 series with reduced lithography will do (in power consumption terms). Not a big gamer. I'm a huge fan of Serious Sam 3 and that's pretty much my most demanding game together with Payday 2 (if that even ask for something). This is my first EVGA product and i'm so happy with it. Quality is noticeable at first look. I'm not using the Precision-X software. It comes with a UEFI BIOS, DVI to VGA adapter, a quite big poster, 2 cool looking medium-sized stickers (in black and white choises) and a really impressive metallic badge. I've never used stickers in my cases but this last one as is not really a sticker made me paste it to my case and looks pretty good with it. This card hits exactly my user range needs. Extremely happy with it, it's the piece of hardware that makes me happy the most in my PC. I recommend upgrading from any previous X50 line of nVidia gfx cards. Will hold this card for years to come.

Top notch starter card for casual gamers
This is a great card for those like myself with a OEM desktop and not much for a power supply. This card takes so little your asking yourself is it worth anything for real game play. Well I have a 1900 x 1200 monitor and it plays COD plenty good in quality, and get really good frame rates in the 50's and 60's. Have not tried the newest but titles like COD Modern warfare, COD Black Ops 2 and Fear 3 have played flawlessly. If you want to get into PC gaming without having to upgrade a PSU (it works fine with 300 watts) then this is a good starter card. Update 2/4/2016. So after couple months I am less enthused by the card, but it still is a good bargain if you only game a little and don't demand high resolution and high graphic settings. I have not noticed as yet, but some complain these single fan cards are very noisy? Have not noticed myself. If you like playing newer games I would recommend moving up to a 900 series rather then these 700's. Especially if you have a bigger monitor. I'm mostly satisfied given I mostly upgraded for a decent 2D graphics over Intel graphics. I know probably a lot of people decided on this card for the low power requirements. But that's a double edge because you can run it on a OEM 300 watt PSU. But the low power also prevents any good overclocking.

Sweet spot pricing
I assume most users are like me, looking for the biggest bang for the buck. My pre built system came with a 300 watt power supply. They "cheaped" out for their profit margin and left me holding the bag. The latest and greatest video cards require me to upgrade my power supply in addition to the cost of the card. I was considering a new system. Choking on the price of an Alienware laptop and distrust of Dell as the manufacturer led me to this Video Card. For me it is truly plug and play. I ordered on Friday and received it on Sunday - gotta love Amazon Prime. It took about 45 minutes from start to the white smoke test - turn your system on, get a puff of white smoke from an unknown short you caused, and you look at the thousand dollar door stop you just created. No white smoke and I was elated. My initial windows screen was screwed because of incompatible drivers. Either this card or Windows automatically went on line to find and install the correct drivers. Another Wow. I am a big player of World of Tanks. Previously my graphic setting were a minimum and I averaged 20 to 24 frames per second sometimes going as low as 7 frames per second. The game detected my new card and set all video tweaks to Maximum. The detail for game play is stunning and I have 50 frames per second slowing to 25 during whatever congestion. Wow. What a difference. Stunning is the best word for my display. AMD has a similar card for about 20 dollars cheaper but because of my worry on compatibility I went the slightly more expensive. 5 stars for ease of assembly; 5 stars for quality of display; 5 stars for Amazon Prime - unnecessary but nice to have it now; and a personal 5 stars for the irony of buying the card on Good Friday to improve game play of a war game on Easter.

Too hot.
These cards are OK. They seem to spin up the fans like you wouldn't believe when driving two monitors at the same time, and both monitors displaying video. I wish the fan didn't come on so loud when I do this. My wife left some Netflix playing when she left the house on day, and burned up one of these video cards. I bought a second one to replace it because I was in a hurry to get my system running again, but if I had had more time I would try to get one that cools better and doesn't make so much noise when driving lots of monitors.

Console-Card
After 1.5 years, I have decided to post this review and recommend this graphics card because of its outstanding value and performance. The 750 ti is a STILL a relevant option for modern pc games. The stock clock speeds are not competent enough, but a little overclocking goes a long way with this piece of silicon. The difference is notable in games like: JUST CAUSE 3 38-60 fps avg 45 WITCHER 3 30-45 fps avg 40 GTA V 60-75 fps avg 62 The thing with the technology in this card makes gaming experience "feel" optimal, regardless of fps. More recently AC SYNDICATE 40fps avg @1080p with high textures, medium shadows. HENCE, all these fps estimates are WITHOUT ANTI-ALIASING. However, the 750 ti handles gaming in such a way that anti aliasing is NOT MISSED! And that goes for almost any game you throw at it. Msi afterburner 200 core clock and 400 memory will do the trick, DigitalFoundry look it up. OF COURSE this is not a 980ti but anything significantly better will cost you 300 bucks or more. Also, keep in mind NVIDIA has optimized this card To the NECK, being the reason other options are less compelling, including the 950 that was launched as a replacement. This is considering you stick with the PCI slot power version only. 950 vs 750 ti = 30watts less and like 20 bucks cheaper. So. its still a contender. Note: Overclocking requires a decent PSU eventhough it does not require external connection (trust me). note: pair this with at least 1600 ram and i3 3.7ghz or above. Makes huge difference. Oh. YES, this card does have better graphics than a PS4 :)
