iJDMTOY Universal LED Daylight DRL Automatic ON/Off Controller Module Box Relay

Used this to connect the DRL LEDs on some aftermarket headlights for a 18 Ram 1500. I couldn't get the controller to control them as turn signal as the LED's kept filckering. Might be able to get them to work if you install a relay but I gave up on that. However, I did connect the horn function which is awesome and as far as simply working as a controller for DRLs and making wiring simple, this thing is great!

This product worked great for about 10 months, after which I noticed my left side drl no longer worked. I swapped the light, didn't work. Checked the voltage coming from the module with a multimeter, only showed 2v. Didn't bother trying with customer service, just switched to a proper relay and now works as it is supposed to. Don't even bother with this module.

I purchased a Philips daytime running light kit back in 2012. After a little over two years, the controller stopped working. I was hoping to find a replacement without having to buy an entire DRL kit. I'm so glad I chose the iJDMJOY Universal Controller. First off, it has more features than the Philips controller. It also plus directly into the Philips lights (you have to bend the electrical contacts, but the connection is firm) so installation is really easy if you already have the Philips DRL system.I particularly like the fact that this controller dims the DRLs when you have your headlights on. The Philips controller shuts them off completely. The iJDMJOY controller also leaves the DRLs on for 15 seconds after the car is turned off. On my Honda CR-V, the DRLs come on for 15 seconds whenever I use the remote to lock or unlock the car. That bothered me a bit at first, but it's nice having the extra illumination when looking for the car in a crowded parking lot.This controller can be wired to turn off the DRL on one side if that side's turn signal is on. My DRLs are far enough away from my turn signal lights that I didn't bother wiring it that way, but it's nice knowing the feature is available if you need it.I've had the controller installed for almost two months now and am still very happy with the purchase. I may buy another to control some other lighting.If you want to add daytime running lights to your car, I think you'll be very satisfied if you choose this box to control them.

Works great in my volvo. No trouble in 1 year of use. All functions performed mostly.I want the drl led to turn off completely when the low beam headlight is on. Can't be done with this unit as the yellow wires trigger a flashing effect like the turn indicators. So, I added a relay in front of this unit and the headlight triggers the relay and cuts power to this unit.One star removed for this inability to turn lights off completely with a + signal.

I purchased this to install on a vehicle that did not come with factory DRL. IJDM has this and it was priced right, easy to install, and they work. I did not use all the leads and just snipped them off to reduce my look size. I am near seattle and the unit is mounted on the upper radiator bracket, which is very susceptible to getting lots of rain on it. I siliconed the bottom a little better. Had a couple months and it still works just fine.

please beware buying this. I bought the two of these. the first one was defective outright only one light was working and the second one was not working at all. After process of elimination, DRL ( iJDMTOY Xenon White Universal Fit 6-LED High Power LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL Kit), wires etc. i found out the connectors on this module were bad. Whatever I tried it didn't work. So, at the end a trip to a local store and set of other male-female connectors and i had redo ends of this module and the DRLs. it took all day to install these lights which should have taken maximum 2 - 3 hours as shown in their youtube video. I wasted resources of amazon too thinking my DRL units are bad and order replacement. NOY VERY HAPPY WITH THE EXPERIENCE!!!!Update : Reducing to 1 star because controller start malfunctioning after one week of usage. The DRLs was not turning off after shutting off the car. Called the support at iJDMTOY and they are not standing behind their product and not ready to exchange the module under warranty because I replaced their bad connectors with my own so that controller can work. I suggest look for other similar controllers which are waterproof and works the same way with one-third of the price. i will not recommend this controller to anybody. Thanks to AMAZON that they listened to my problem and agreed to refund the money otherwise I would have been under $60 plus one whole day of installation for nothing. ONCE AGAIN --- "Buy at your own RISK"

Excellent product. When I received this item I quickly became nervous seen the amount of wires, but then I found instruction on how to install and realized how the same exceeded my expectations. This harness actually allows you to automatically dim the running lights when headlights turn on so you won't blind oncoming traffic and it seem to also allow you to make them work with turn signal, turning each side on and off in combination with the turn signal. My experience doesn't match the product description but the harness that I received allowed me to do such things. I very impressed and happy with this product. Install was easy and clean.
