Speedo SMAO Swim Paddle

It's been two weeks that I am using this product, and I noticed that it does not only trains your strength, it also helps you to correct mistakes and flaws.I have tested on every swimming style, and I could notice that each style has its specific difficulties, but with time, they will fade (It is only adaptation: It is like a normal paddle, but a lot more difficult).Although it is gigantic, and needs a lot of physical effort, I am liking the results.

While I love the foot paddles (fins), light and highly buoyant, the hand equivalent are some sort of joke.I couldn't believe how LARGE, bulky and heavy these "swim paddles" are. I'm six two, two hundred lbs,swim 60 to 90 minutes using the 'old' Speedo stiff plastic hand paddle. One swimmer commented on the sizeof these new whales and called them sholder busters right off the bat. Nevertheless I managed one lap beforetesting my fellow swimmer's anatomical theory.I'm also a paddler of sea kayaks. My paddles are light and strong as possible.

Very difficult to move through the water, but I can feel my strength increasing. It is insane to feel your arms move through the water without them after swimming 300 or so yards with them.

Do not buy these paddles. The pictures and descriptions fail to disclose that each paddle is about 4-5" deep. This means if you stack them on top of each other to put in your swim bag, they easily take up at least 8" of room, if not more. I have paddles that are larger in surface area, but are less then 1/4" thick.

I purchased these as a Christmas gift for my mother. Imagine my shock on Christmas morning when she opened it and I realized that there was ONE paddle, rather than the supposed two paddleS. What the heck is she supposed to do with one paddle? Swim train with one arm??
