Mountain Gear Men's D Day Le Boot

Ok, here goes. I NEVER write a review, a little a shamed because I use them for reference with my purchases. But none the less when something warrants a review good or bad I will. Sadly, in this case it's not good. I purchased these boots because I work on my feet walking or standing alot in a hospital. So already you know these boots aren't seeing mountains or trails daily but flat ground. The first time I wore them. The left boot got a crease in a vertical direction, one would think horizontal would be expected. Upon feeling it there is something hard and arching there that you do not feel on the right foot. The boots were fairly comfortable after adding an inner sole, they are not comfortable enough for long periods of time without one. The left shoe started squeaking for about 3 days after about 2 weeks of wear and then it stopped, hasn't returned. About a month in the boot cracks along the seem, the left boot. Now I just discovered a whole on the other side of the seem, again on the left boot. I am beginning to think the left boot shouldnt have passed quality control as it is defective. See photos, if all this is happening to one shoe and not the other, I can't come to any other conclusion. I had a pair of Nike boots for $150 and had them for 7 years before I retired them. For a third of the cost l, I didn't even get a third of the wear. You get what you pay for isn't a legitimate saying anymore. Photo one shows whatever is hard going down the center and regular shoe creasing. Photo 2 is the cut by seem. Photo 3 is the hole. Photo 4 is the right foot. I abused my Nike boots with jobs in the elements and never got a hole or cut. I am right side dominant, anyone know why my left shoe looks like it's been in a war and the right looks like I started wearing it last week.....defective! $50 for boots should last you longer than 2 month's. Half star because they shipped fast, half star because they look stylish enough for work.

I love these boots, although they are for men, I thought they were quite nice looking, I saw these at another retail shop and tried them on, they were going for 69.00 at the other place, I did some research and found them here on Amazon for half the price. They run small. I where a 11 in women and a 10.5 in this boot. For some you might need an insole for added comfort...... I love them so much, I got them in navy as well.

I've had your shoes for about 4 months now and front toe bottom is coming off already! now constructive on them. All thought they fit well, they haven't even last a not even a full year or two! I'm very disappointed in this product. I will need to choose another brand. Thank you.

When I buy from amazon I always read the worst reviews cause I want to know worst case. But this time my gut feeling said that this pair of boots would be ok and my gut was right these boots fit perfect. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them as well. I would recommend this pair of boots and the price was great

I am a female size 7.5 or 8, so I expected to not fit the size perfectly. It is about half, almost a full size too big. Other than that it is exactly what I needed. Comfortable, durable, and professional-looking. I will be working security so wearing these boots are a must. Coupled with fast delivery, I thoroughly enjoyed ordering from this company and will do so again. My only complaint was that they don't carry smaller sizes. Other than that, I am very happy.

These boots were worth purchasing because they are comfortable, and stylish. I've been asked where did I buy them. I let people know that they are as good as the nike boot, which they resemble, but are more than $100 less.

Solid work boot for the price. Outsole and tread get worn somewhat quickly...otherwise its a comfortable good looking and sturdy boot (almost identical to the nike work boot). A little rigid and stiff in the beginning but it will give to a more comfy fit after several wears. My second pair!

Really a good looking boot, haven't worn them yet other than to try them on but I'm going to order the blue since these look so good. Hope that last a while if not I'll edit this review.
