Used it to train my dog to defecate outside & tried to scare a neighborhood cat
I read on the ASPCA's website that if your dog will only defecate inside the house it may have a fear of going outside. They recommended getting another dog so it will make it easier for him to go outside (yeah right!), borrow a friend's dog for a while (um, no...) or to get some dog urine from a family or friend and spread it across the lawn. That last idea seemed a lot more reasonable. I didn't know how to do it though but thought I had seen dog urine or some type of carnivore urine online somewhere. I also wanted to get it to try and keep a cat out of our backyard that had attacked one of our cat's. I searched on Amazon and this was the cheapest and best reviewed stuff online. Plus, it is from a canine so I decided to give it a try. I'm really glad it doesn't have a strong smell. My brother, whom we rent the basement from, would have killed me if it did. It's kind of a musky smell but not very pungent. I held my nose right over the top of the bottle and it wasn't bad, not saying that it was a likable smell though! I went outside to spray it using the sprayer that came with it. The sprayer can be hard to attach but if you press hard while screwing it down, it will eventually go. If you press the spray head down hard, it will mist very finely. If you press it down halfway lightly, more drops will come out than mist. I had a tiny bit blow back toward me when spraying and I could smell it easily but it didn't stick around. After that, I pressed lightly and only halfway down. I sprayed every post on our chain link fence and every tree trunk plus some of the foundation of the house, some wood on the bottom of the porch. Then I sprayed it all over the grass in the corners of the yard. I brought my puppy out and immediately he could smell it and took a dump right away. He seemed to smell it on the grass the first day and a little bit on a fence post. Then he started smelling the rest of the fence posts after he was done. Smelled the trees too and the lawn corners. Didn't smell it on the foundation or the porch posts though. The cats didn't seem to notice it as far as I could tell. The neighborhood bully cat attacked our cat again that night. So I don't think it works well on cats. Our sprinklers came on in the morning the next day and from what I noticed, cleared away the urine that was on the grass and most of it that was on the fence posts. I think the porch posts and foundation were wiped clean or are not strong enough. The trees apparently soaked in the urine or at least held onto it longer. My dog still sniffs the tree trunks and defecates close to them. It's been a few days now since I sprayed it the first time. I used 3/4 bottle the first time. I sprayed some fence posts and the trees again the second time after a few days. Then I tossed what little I had left near the fence where the other cat keeps coming in. I haven't seen the other cat, but I might have scared really good the last time. Our dog still defecates by the trees. Not so much by the fence posts. I'd say if you use it for hunting, spray it downwind. Maybe on some grass or dirt. If you're determined to have a coyote come to where you want it to, find some trees or other wood and spray it on that and then retreat a distance away from it to be safe. If you mist it, make sure you don't get hit with it by the wind slapping it back in your face. It's a really good product though. But I'm not a hunter, so this whole review may be irrelevant. I do hope the hunters can use some of this information to help them out on their hunt. Good luck to you hunters that use it!

The Best
Had some racoons up above our porch and only could get see them from a small board I removed. Found were they got in under the house eve and could not get access to get the mom and 2 little ones out. Looked up on You Tube on how to deal with this problem. One guy mentioned coyote urine as a way to get them critters out. So I ordered this coyote urine scent. I sprayed the urine in the area I could access thru the removed board around late afternoon. That night I listened for the sound of tiny feet running around and getting ready to go out and pillage the neighborhood. Well to my surprise I did not hear the varmints get up and leave the premises. So to make this long story come to a end, this stuff works great and I would recommend it to anyone that has a problem with wildlife in the attic or anywhere else around the home. Only took around 10 sprays. What a relief to have them gone and a whole lot cheaper. What a great product with fast delivery. Would recommend the seller.

Does not work
I’m not sure what is in the bottle but it has no odor to humans and absolutely no impact on raccoons. When I first sprayed it I expected a horrible odor but nothing. So I assumed it was formulated or processed to make it less than obnoxious to human, but I saw on video multiple raccoons literally walk up to the area I sprayed it and demonstrated no reaction to it. Save your $12.

Probably a good product but didn't do what I hoped.
I bought this on the chance it would deter the local squirrels from dining on the tomato's. I sprayed the garden area and some of the tree's. It seemed to work the first few days. I sprayed it again to freshen the scent but they returned. In all honesty this stuff smells nasty and should repel critters. I really do not want to put this product down, it just didn't have the effect I hoped it would.

Great stuff!
Love this stuff! I have been looking for something for months to keep the deer and raccoons away from my bird feeders! This is the solution! Works great! Dip in one of the absorbent sticks I bought and hang in the trees beside the feeder. Keeps them away.

Delicious and refreshing!
Delicious and refreshing! By itself, or on the rocks with a splash of soda and lime there is no finer beverage that Wildlife Research brand Coyote Urine. It's been a huge hit at my house, full bodied without being too heavy. Actually I have had mixed results with it. I really got it to keep deer and rabbits out of my garden. I put cotton balls inside of empty plastic bottles with holes poked in them, sprinkled the urine on the cotton balls and hung the plastic bottles around the garden fence. It seems to be effective with the deer. I can see the deer walk through the yard from the window and they avoid the garden area since I hung the bottles with Coyote Urine up. The rabbits on the other hand don't seem to care about or notice the urine. I put one of the urine bottles right near the carrots, and the rabbits ate the tops off the carrots anyway. I saw one sitting right under the urine bottle. Rascally rabbits.

This company needs to up its game and as a professional I give it 2 star rating
I'm really not the one to leave a bad review but I own and run one of the most successful wildlife rescues in Palm Beach county. I'm a wildlife rehabilitator and wildlife specialist and I specialize in raccoons. I run a non kill rescue. In 9 years I've never had a problem with repellent until I tried this product .. honestly it's like watered down and very thin ... It should stink to high heaven that's how you know if it's good or not. I actually let a customer smell it right from the bottle and it took him like three times to actually say yeah that stinks. Normally the stuff I use the good stuff is mixed from all different coyotes giving the animal you trying to repel humanely the assumption that there is a pack around. This stuff did not work and all it did was just maker stay on high alert. I applied my other brand which was unavailable at the time and by morning she had taken 3 babies and relocated. If you're buying this to keep animals away that are a nuisance for you then try a different brand. Maybe the company will read this being I am one of those knowledgeable experience raccoon experts in South Florida and use pure 100% coyote urine and if they are better stop watering it down.

Weak. Expensive
Doesn't work for anything. I did a triangle with some hanging bottles on my property with the bottom cut and a piece of shirt drench in that coyote piss inside and the deers keep coming, even pass close to the bottles. And all other small animals keep passing in the triangle. All my plants are eaten so not happy at all. The fish and hunt shop in my town got me third time the amount for that price

It is what it is
First, I got this to deter voles and mice. Those are the most common prey of coyotes, so they are what it would be effective on in terms of deterrence. It does seem to work - the voles are gone (might have been due to a barn cat coming around as well though) . I recently had a mouse tunneling in my watermelon patch - filled in the 1st and it made a new one, filled that and sprayed this around the frame - no more tunnels and haven't seen the critter since. I'm satisfied that it worked. Now, I see a lot of people commenting that it didn't scare off skunks or racoons - well, why would it? Those animals are NOT prey for coyotes and have no fear of them, so they wouldn't be bothered by the scent. The product description does not claim to deter those critters (or even mice and voles, for that matter), so giving it a poor review for not doing what it makes no claim to do is just wrong. Come on people, know what you are buying before dissing it.

Chases away skunks and other animals around your home.
Best way to get rid of skunks and other small animals. Took a few empty bottles of water, punched holes in them, stuffed a small rag with coyote urine inside the bottles and laid them close by my tool shed. Soon after the whole family of skunks came out from under my tool shed, sniffed the bottles, went back under the shed, and waited till dark to step out and leave permanently. Great stuff but the only draw back is that it could attract coyotes if there are any in the vicinity.
