Don't pass this up, price is great and quality is fine!
Worked correctly, easy to install and easy to read. Was difficult to find the drive but was able to make a short cut to it on the desktop. Very nice to have. I am a writer and had many poems n manuscripts on old A diskettes.

Flawless ! Would buy again. No issues !
Worked flawlessly right out of the box ! Plug and play was easy. I converted 24 - 3.5" disks in a few hrs with no issues. Note : these new units make the same racket as the old ones did running but that's just the sound they make. Would buy again.

Worked well out of the box
I copied around 25 old floppy discs without a problem.

Doesn't work all the time but don't NOT buy it.
I have to say, for the price, this worked well. It could be that my discs are just too old (circa 1998-2004) and the data is just not quality but about 1/3rd of my discs could not be "identified" by the machine. I put the disc in, it would whir, whir, whir, and nothing. So I'd sort of struggle to eject the disc and call it a day. Now, I know there was a thing about Macs and I suppose I could try it on a friend's computer, but it just doesn't seem like it's entirely worth it. All in all, the cost was worth it and most of my stuff is now on my computer, hence 4 of 5 stars. It looks exactly as the picture says and it's a really easy plug and play.

Flaky Operation with Win10/11
It's possible that this 3-1/2 inch floppy drive is not intended to work with Win10/11 as it is very flaky. The only reason I am keeping it is because I figured out a way that works most of the time for reading files on a floppy. The work-arounds are actually described in a document that is provided with the drive (so the problems are well known by the manufacturer).Frankly, some of the problems I saw were due to bad floppy discs. But the dominate problem I saw with known good floppy discs are that the drive would not recognize it as seen in Windows Explorer (it would not appear). Most of the time the solution was to unplug the drive USB connection and then, with the floppy inside the drive, plug the USB back into the computer. Occasionally the only solution was to reboot the computer. I expect to try this on my old Win7 computer later this year. The reason I haven't returned it and purchased another brand is that I suspect they are all identical designs and therefore likely have identical issues. The bottom line is that this is a poor design, but with patience its issues can be worked around.

It worked very well on oldbfloppy discs
I ran 25 or so old discs through this. It read them all, one had the gate on the disc stick the disc in the drive, but that was probably a bad disc. I pulled the disc out, the gate came off, I removed that from the drive and read another 20 discs.

One of two ordered worked properly
I ordered two of these but only one worked correctly. The 'bad' one needed to be rebooted every single time a disk was exchanged. and, needless to say, that one was returned. I think you take your chances purchasing one of these and receiving one that works correctly. I am happy with the one that works and hope it continues to do so. I am 50/50 recommending this drive due to the high failure rate of my order and many, many others encountering the same issue as noted in reviews.

RAAYYOO YAHOO
I was impressed. First that it arrived in one day. Second by the extensive users manual that described how to use the device and trouble shooting step. Next it was truly plug and play. Finally it worked. Although it did not read all the files, about 50%, It is better than I expected reading from 16 year old floppies that had been thrown in a box years ago.
