Jiawei Solar RCA5-P2-CB-1 High Output Solar Lantern 10x

I have two of these. They’re made of metal and heavy glass except for the top part with the electronics, which is plastic. The light pattern cast is pleasant and effective. I bought the second because the first worked so well, but the second has not worked as well. Lamp #2 seems to charge, but isn’t lighting at night (though when I put my finger over the light sensor in daytime, the lamp turns on). Want to replace the batteries with a better-quality rechargeable? Well, they’re a non-standard 3.2V size that seem to be available only from Jiawei. UPDATE APRIL 2018: One of the lamps has an issue with the seal around the solar panels. Water leaks in and collects in the glass part of the lamp. Not sure what damage this does to electronics due to moisture, though lamp still works. Neither lamp works for more than a few hours after dark.

This lantern seems very sturdy, since it is glass and metal rather than plastic. The light makes an attractive pattern on the ground. I have it in partial sun/partial shade yet it comes on at night for several hours. The only thing I don't like is that the light is very white with a slight blue tinge and a warmer light would be more attractive to me.

These look great in the yard. took a few days cogenerate enough solar power because it wasn't very sunny but they now work great and are very pretty

Have a bunch of these in the yard and they have survived two mid western winters. The light is bright and with a full sunny day charge they will stay lit all night. The fluted glass and the metal construction are pluses as well. You can either stake 'em or hook 'em. Either way these are very nice, durable, and bright solar lights.

I have 3 of these lanterns. Very pleased with the quality. Glass and metal - no plastic. They light is very bright and emits a lovely pattern. Con: you MUST have these in direct sunlight all day or they turn off very quickly (i.e. one hour as opposed to several hours).

I bought this and put it in a beautiful ceramic pot with rocks and really wasn't expecting much light, it was for decoration but I'm impressed with how much light and the design the light shines in is lovely.

Purchased a substitute unit for one that did not work. The replacement works well. I now have 2 working units and am very pleased with their quality and brightness.

This lantern has a nice classy look. It looks great hanging in my front flower garden and puts out a good bit of light as well.
