CAT5 Cabling - At It's Finest
After shopping for a decent deal on CAT5 cabling, I happened across this item, I am very pleased with this product - the jacket is easy to work with, and easy to remove - The pricing of this cabling, is really what caught my eye. Ideally, I would have purchased CAT5 locally, but considering the least expensive deal I could find locally was 3x the price of this product. The bottom line here - The product tests, within specs - easy to work with - great price.

I have ordered this twice, first batch was great the second had thinner insluation. Still works just fine, just disappointed with the quality.

Cheap but effective
For the price, its hard not to give this 5 stars. The price is awesome and this cable works well and is easy to work with. However, you should probably not use this cable on a job. Its aluminum with a copper coating. It'll work just fine for most applications, but running shares in a large business(where it may take hours to identify the cause of an issue, if the issue is ever identified at all) you won't want cheap cable causing slow connections or non-connectivity. Not that using expensive solid copper cable would guarantee that this wasn't an issue, but it may hedge the risk a little bit. For <10mbps broadband you probably won't see an issue here with this cheaper material. The outer shell leaves some play between the inner pairs and the outer shell, which is good, as that space helps prevent cross-talk from close lying electrical appliances, but at the same time it makes the cable length inefficient because it doesn't lay straight(you will have constant zigs and zags in the cable). This is a common issue with cheaper cables. The wires are pliable and punch down well. They also terminate fine, differences there are arbitrary. Good value for the product you get. If you need share cable, get certified stuff. I've never had a connectivity issue with any runs using this as simple Internet patch-in cable.

Cable IS NOT cable
I ordered two boxes of Cat5E cable for a job. I ordered on a Tuesday, got it on a Thursday. SUPER FAST SHIPPING. I emailed them to confirm it would be sent out same day because Amazon gave me a delivery date of the following week. The seller assured me it would be sent out same day, and it was.I didn't expect much from a cheap cable like this, but I was very surprised when I cut my first run. The cable is very high quality and was actual copper wire, instead of multiple strands, like cheap cable usually is. My customer has Verizon FiOS in his office, he is for sure getting the speed he's ordering, if not faster. If you need cat5e cable, these are the guys to order from.

Definitely not worth the savings in price.
The cable feels much cheaper than any other Cat5e I have used prior. This is not a huge issue as long as it works, but there is the other problem. The pull box is a VERY poor design. My first long run, first run period, quite literally knotted up every 20 feet or so. The cable was pinched inside the box each time. This meant getting off the ladder and opening the box to untangle the mess. I have been running cables of all varieties for many years and the occasional tangle happens with everything, usually from pulling too fast, but that wasn't the case here. Had to take it out of the box and wind it on to a empty RG59 spool to keep using. To top it off, after running a few 120 to 200 foot runs I find out the first cable is bad. Sure all the binding up in the box crimped off and broke the 3 of the 8 wires. Tomorrow I get to waste more valuable time to re-run the bad cable, at my own expense. Not at all happy!

Good cable, no complaints.
I have ran this cable over 200 feet and not had any problems achieving 100 Mbps speed (I do not have any gig ports or I would test that also).Runs fine (no horrible twisted kinks), spreads fine (the individual wires are strong enough to spread and keep in line for crimping), and crimps fine.As with any Cat5e cable, do not attempt to run this beyond 300ft without the use of a repeater of some kind or you will see degraded connectivity.

great price for solid copper cat 5 cable. great deal
What a great price for 1000' of Cat 5 cable. I need a box of this every year for trade shows and this is the best price for this quality of product. This is the 'solid' cat5 cable.. not stranded which means its easier to handle and crimp down. recieved the order super fast. great deal!
