The best motorcycle lithium batteries!
When lithium batteries started gaining popularity for motorcycles, I became a little suspicious and bought into some of the paranoia around their exclusivity. I received a Shorei as a gift from a friend, and decided to try to use it. It’s been a total game changer, and I will never go back to regular lead acid batteries. I have these now on a couple of my motorcycles, and I’m always impressed at how long they hold their charge and how little maintenance they require. They’re so lightweight and compact in size, which is a great way to get some weight savings on heavier bikes. So far the durability of these has more than made up for its higher cost, where otherwise I would’ve likely have gone through the 2 to 3 lead acid batteries by now.If you go lithium for the first time, make sure you get a proper lithium charger as well. If not the Shorei branded charger, get the Battey Tender Junior chargers that have both the lead acid and lithium ion option.

When it worked it was good. Warranty is laughable.
Super lightweight and a perfect fit for my bike. The bike started right-up and I rode all summer with no problems. Spent the extra money and bought the Shorai SHO-BMS01 battery charger/maintainer and that was a mistake. I stored the bike for the winter with the Shori charger attached in "store" mode and when I went to take the bike out this spring, I had a dead battery. Warranty is 50% discount off of retail price to replace after the first year, no accommodation for their charger wrecking the battery. List price has doubled in the last year so I would essentially be buying the battery all over again even though it is under "warranty".Going back to lead-acid.

Not for high drain applications.
I bought this battery for my Polaris atv with a 2000 lb. winch. Battery starts atv great even in freezing weather. Problem is it doesn't have enough reserve capacity to run the winch for much more than eight feet, then the battery dies. I'm all for new battery technology but this battery just isn't made for this situation. I will say that even after killing the battery with the winch after a few minutes it will still start the atv. Yes, the charging system is in good condition. Volts just drop down quick with the Shorai battery and I'm sure I'm ruining it more and more each time I kill it. After a couple of rides I had to replace it with an AGM and all is well now. ...maybe I'll try this Lithium in my lawn mower.

This battery was about twice as expensive as the lead-acid battery it replaced in my Honda 1984 Big Red three wheeler ATV. Since I replaced the lead-acid battery every year for the previous two years, I figured if this LI battery lasted two years, its money well spent. The battery has been in service for one year and works perfectly. Even when the ATV sat for four months in an out building without being started, It started the ATV in 20 degrees instantly. The lead-acid batteries had trouble below 50 degrees even when new. Sveral times, I have used the ATV to jump start my 16 horse wood splitter, which I wouldn't even consider with the lead-acid battery.

CCA or not there
Bought this battery to start a ROTAX 503 as it was the biggest AH battery that would fit in the battery box. Although the AH rating and higher CCA is almost twice that of an earthx battery, the earthx spins the 503 over while this battery struggled.Clearly not what I expected.
