Does this work for 3DS games, or is it just a ARDS that works on the 3DS?

My son has the original 3ds and the XL 3ds. The original 3ds it wouldn't stay down in the slot, but it worked just fine for the xl 3ds

What is the difference in the color of the exaction replay because i see a yellow one a blue on and a red one?

Based on just the Amazon description, the different colors come with different games standard on them. For Example, the yellow one advertises several pokemon games excluding Heart Gold/Soul Silver, while this blue one includes both of those.
