Bostitch Office Booklet Stapler - One Finger, No Effort, Spring Powered, Long Reach Stapler - Silver (1610)

The media could not be loaded. This is the third time purchasing this product. Unfortunately, several years ago my first one broke because a student helper used it without me knowing and pulled it the wrong way. So store it somewhere safe and out of reach because others will be intrigued by this stapler! I purchased another one and several years later, I stored it at the end of a school year and when I returned, I forgot where I stored it! So store it someplace safe AND where you will remember. I purchased it again recently because it’s the best I’ve used. My school had some others that are cheaper but they do not work as good as this one. I had to push really hard with one and another kept malfunctioning and I had to keep pulling out the crooked and broken staples, problems I’ve never had with this one. I decided to just buy another one. I love making booklets and reusable flip books as references for my students. My most recent flip book consisted of 4 laminated cardstock papers and this stapler EASILY stapled them. This is the only long reach stapler I would buy!

I love this stapler. It has a great power boosting mechanism and you can staple through 12 pages with literally one finger. It has an adjustment feature so you staple right in the middle of an 8.5x11 booklet, perfectly.

Works great so far for stapling booklets and it actually is a surprisingly light touch to use it.

From the reviews I was kind of skeptical about this. Now I can see how there's probably user error. Pay attention to what you're doing and it'll work out - it's a good stapler.

I won't pretend staplers are the simplest machines to produce, though I can't remember a stapler ever giving me this much trouble. Especially one that supposedly sells for ~$60+. (I got it on sale for ~$32.) I tested it when I first got it and things seemed ready to go. I then let it rest on my home office desk where nobody else has used it and when I went to use it today I couldn't get it to reliably punch. This is using the staples it came with. I haven't tried it with different staples yet though if it has the same results I'm probably doing to request a return.EDIT: I dug out an old box of cheapo Walmart staples I had around and tried them out and it works now! If you check the second picture it worked every single time through 8 sheets of paper and two sheets of cardstock at the same time. This saves me a return process and I wish to extend some advice: THROW OUT THE STAPLES THIS STAPLER COMES WITH. Cheap ones will do but it comes with garbage staples.

Years ago I had a long-reach stapler, passed it to someone else, but have missed it. I didn’t use it often but when I needed it, nothing else would do the job.This one is better than the old one - still has a long reach but the stapling mechanism is the best I’ve used - easier that I imagined possible. I thought the advertised ease was just an exaggeration but not, it really works well!I use this to repair booklets and to staple booklets I print on 8.5”x11” paper and fold in half. A “normal” office stapler won’t reach the center of folded printer paper.
