Superb - But bake it first!
This is superb bedding for our Russian tortoise. I saw reviews which mentioned that "pests" might be in it. To be absolutely sure that would not happen, we baked it in batches, in a large roasting pan, in the oven, at 180 degrees, for an hour per batch. Then we misted it lightly after installing each batch. Boris's apartment is 2' x 6', and we used five large bags (24 dry quarts per bag). This provides him about 4" for digging and burrowing. He loves it!

Perfect for ball pythons
I mix this with herpchip for my 4 pythons and it’s the best substrate, holds humidity perfectly and is easy to spot check waste. Tad expensive but 🤷♀️
