Is this set compatible with Skylanders Swap Force Game?

Yes, but you cannot play the level for Dragon's Peak in Swap Force. D: But luckily I have Giants so I can play the level there! :D

We have skylanders imaginators for xbox one. we got this and nothing happens when we place the figure that looks like a dragon castle on the portal.

Dragon's Peak was a stage in Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders Giants. It's only used as a magical item in the later games.

Does this include the game, or just the characters?

Just the characters. The game, you will ned to buy it separatly

Can you use Trap Team Characters in Spyro lands or only the other way around?

New Trap Team Characters aren't compatible with the first Skylanders game. Only Skylander figures for the first game are compatible with Trap Team, Giants, and Swap Force. However, certain Skylanders from later games can go back but it has to be a Skylander that was in the first game like a Giants figure of Lightning Rod is compatible with the first game because Lightning Rod was in the first game.
