Thank you for a pilot bit that works!
I ordered a 3/4" hole saw for steel. the pilot bit in it broke on the first hole, reordered the same hole saw and it's pilot bit broke on the first hole also. So I saw this pilot bit and it worked for two holes on steel without breaking. I was drilling holes in a Bilco cellar door to install a lock. This pilot bit worked with the hole saw I ordered.

Good bits, fit EZARC Stepped Pilot Drill Bit for Carbide Hole Saw
I snapped the EZARC pilot bit, tried 2 more of those, they snapped also. Put in one of these and good to go for 6 holes, still going strong.I just ordered 2 more of these as stand by in case I snap the one I have in the drill now.Fits the EZARC Stepped Pilot Drill Bit for Carbide Hole Saw nicely.

a good drill bit
This was purchased for my husband and he liked it. He was happy to find it and happier to receive it the next day and put it right to use. I am guessing he was pleased also with its performance, he hasn't complained about it yet.

ezARC replacement
I bought these as a replacement for the pilot bit that came in an EZARC carbine hole cutter. Fit perfect.

necessary
Especially if someone doesn't know how to use the ideal hole saws. Easy to break the pilot bit, so worth getting a few spares.
