Garmin Alkaline Battery Pack for Rino 600 Series (Discontinued

The first one sent did not work....I used multiple batteries on multiple units--nothing. I was sent a replacement and the replacment worked fine (same batteries I used for the first one. I returned the first one but was charged for both the original one and the replacement.

Left batteries in this backup unit. Mistake, they erupted and the acid ate up the contacts. Was elated to find this part at Amazon. Was a bit less money, for the same identical part and not having to wait for shipping out of Canada. Very happy, and didn't need to drive anywhere.?perfect

Product came as shown, on time delivery and worked perfectly with husband's handheld GPS unit.

This is a good product, but be aware that it is thicker than the lithium battery. I have a case that fits on my backpack strap that I carry my Garmin on. When this battery pack is on the radio it does not fit in my case. Not a huge issue for me because this is mainly intended as a backup battery pack.

Still using the rechargeable unit that came with the Garmin but keeping this on hand in the field in the case where I don't have a vehicle or a generator to charge the original battery pack. High quality Alkaline Battery Pack not a knockoff, O.E.M. equipment that carries the Garmin name. Good product, highly recommended for the extended trip in the field.

Does not hold charge at all

I would give 5 stars if was not so heavy and bulky(twice as thick as standard pack)(takes 4AA, should have been designed to take 2AA) (NEGATIVES: does not fit in pockets, heavy and loose when clipped on garments/belts, awkward to hold in palm).I give it 3 stars because its the only product/way available to charge the GPS without having to use the garmin rechargeable battery pack the GPS comes with , which is completely unreliable and dangerous to rely on in the wilderness , making this product a necessity.

I like it because this is my backup . I keep it with me when hunting
