This stuff is awesome. It’s wall chapstick. Rub it on any nail hole or place that needs patched, let dry, wipe off excess with paper towel or sandpaper and paint over— Voila, problem solved! Definitely easier than walking around with a putty knife and cup of spackling.

We had some areas in our rental where "no damage" adhesive strips peeled off what looks like 3 layers of thick paint minimum. It looked awful and like the drywall was peeling so we got this. Overall it did just what we needed it to do, filled in and evened out for a smoother appearance. I applied with my fingers and needed no other tools. I like that it is water based, a wet cloth removes it with very little effort. If we had more needs probably would have gone with something else. I highly recommend the cheap craft paints like $1 to use with this, has buildable coverage so especially if your wall is a lighter color you can get a pretty close match, it just doesn't dry glossy. Just dont be very abrasive with whatever tool you are applying paint with as this material is water based, it started breaking back down with more passes in some spots. Still looks much better than it did before!
