are these genuine kmc?

Looks genuine enough. But the one I bought from this seller seized after 2 rides(not having a go at the seller btw). So I bought a replacement online from Wiggle. They can be trusted. Plus at the moment (08/02/23), the exact same chain is on offer for £7.99

Chain direction Does it matter which way the chain is put on?

Most bike chains are non-directional. If the chain needs to be fitted a certain way there will be an arrow on the chain indicating the correct way.

Do i need to buy a chain linker ?

Not to put in on as you can stamp it with your brakes on . But a different matter if you want to split it so they are handy and better than pliers.
