True to the standards of the old time hawk bill old tymer

I have a few Old Timer knives from my dad and father-in-law. This shape is quite different than all the others, yet still rather small compared to other pruners. The shape will fit into a card wallet and still fit easily into your pocket. I hate it when the pockets go bad before the rest of the pants! It's not a lock-back design, but because of the blade cutting angle, there is not a problem there. It's just the thing for trimming tree sprouts or fresh flowers to go in a vase,etc.

My husband absolutely loved the knife. He had one as a child and had always wanted another. I wish this was a terrific review, however, upon arrival one of the "Old Timer" emblems had fallen off. Inside of returning the knife and waiting weeks for a replacement, I superglued it back on. Shortly later, after very light use and just carried in the pocket, the knife became so dull that it wouldn't cut hot butter. Bear in mind when we received it, my husband could have shaved with it. It is definitely not the quality that I have come to know and love from an "Old Timer" product. I do hope that in the future this company will work on quality control.
