great reference book for any middle school band director to have.

This book has saved me from embarrassment on multiple occasions. I received it as a gift when I was student teaching, and have continued that tradition by getting it for my students who intend to teach.

I bought this book because my student teaching supervisor used to quiz me on instrument fingerings weekly. Now that I'm teaching band I find it's a must to have a reference like this. It has helped me memorize about an octave on each instrument but it's nice to know I have additional info if I need it...

This is a great resource if you are going to be a band director or if you are interested in various types of instruments. It gives all the fingerings for many different instruments, and is a great quick guide.

This is simply a great reference. There’s nothing more to say. Every band teacher should have one in their collection.

I was pretty disappointed that this book was simply fingering charts and just a bit of techniques. I wouldn’t call it a reference guide. It doesn’t even show how to hold the instruments or names of parts. I was really excited for this book but it ended up being what I already have in the teacher guide for Essential Elements, just less information
