Filter works great. Putting it on a ford f-250 v-10 under the rail is another matter. THIS was the only time "I have not enjoyed " working on my little utility vehicle. The audible CLICK (Yes on the engine side, a mouse click on the tank side) This is not for the light-of-heart. All my metal and plastic fuel line adapters are terrible—wish they made slimline style, but they dont. Marked it 12/25 with a paint marker and hope to never do this again. But the K and N is better than the one off the truck IMO.

It fit right in where it was supposed to. Hardest part about this project is getting the old one off with the crazy Ford pressure fittings they use can be very frustrating to get them to break free. Once they were off. This one just clicked right into place and had no issue since.

5 stars for sure. They seem to do a good job. 1993 f250xl 5.8l 2wd extended cab. Installed one Feb 15 2022 lasted till may14 2026. Truck sat for 15months with full rear fuel tank. Added full can of seafoam engine treatment to fuel tank and the filter caught a bunch of junk that the seafoam cleared out of my rear tank. Truck didnt want to rev past 2000 under load without "spitting" changed to new filter and its running better. Still need to clear out the rest of that bad gas but this filter is saving my injectors from the more major junk. Now that you read all that here's a tip....the red caps you need to remove from the new filter fit your old one so disconnect fuel line on one side then put red cap on. This keeps fuel from coming out while you disconnect second side. After second side put on 2nd red cap on old filter. Pull out filter now instead of wearing that gas you have successfully captured a fuel sample. Examine the gas how you like but I like to shake the heck out of the filter then pour out the fuel and then examine it to see if the filter has trapped any larger pieces of anything...can also use a pipe or filter cutter to open it and check the filter material but the quick shake method seems to work...a few filters ago my sample fuel after shaking was literally black. This time sample was really clear in comparison.
