Classic Touch Waste Disposer Air Switch with Round Style Push Button Finish: Antique Copper

Mountain Plumbing is a great brand - our air switch has been in service for over a year with no issues and works great. Push once to turn the electricity on (so that the disposer runs) and push it again to switch the electricity off. I try to avoid operating the switch with wet hands (as I'm doing the dishes) - there's obviously no risk of electric shock - rather, I'm concerned about the water that can drain between the housing of the switch and the movable plunger because it doesn't appear that there's a seal between the plunger and the switch housing and in the long term, any dust, food debris and/or detergent that washes between the switch housing and plunger may cause the plunger to stick.

We are remodeling our kitchen and when I scoured my current city for the sinks, faucets, and even garbage disposals that were required for our kitchen I was shocked at the prices. So one Saturday on a whim I logged on to Amazon and low and behold I was able to get almost everything I needed on Amazon and was able to save over $1000. !!! All of the items arrived within a week or less exactly as I was told on the website. Amazing I now direct others to Amazon for their plumbing and construction needs. I am a believer. All of the items arrived exactly as they were described- I think it a good idea to have the exact part numbers, as one digit or letter can change the color or finish on any of these products.

I'd never seen these types of switches before and was sure glad they existed when I had to come up with a way to control the power to my disposal since there was no switch controlling the receptacle below the sink. This fit the bill just fine. It was simple to install and works like a champ. Just a little puff of air is all that's needed to switch the control on and off. Also, since the button is located right next to the faucet, it's very handy compared to reaching for a wall switch, which is probably not the safest thing to do if your hands are wet. Since the button is nothing more than a plunger, there is no risk of electrocution.

We've had this for over two years now and like this over using a regular wall switch (especially with wet hands). The "oil rubbed bronze trim" on the switch looks more like a dark brown so it doesn't match our faucet. That's not to say that it sticks out, it's just not as much of a match as I would have hoped. The switch itself has worked just fine. I'm not sure why there are two outlets, as one would do. One is on, while the other is off and the switch simply changes which one is on.

I had read up online about air switches before buying. It was an all new thing for us! One of the things I read was the top ten rated air switches and this brand was in there twice. So happy I ordered this and we are loving it! Mountain Plumbing air switch ROCKS … and so does the company! Received in timely manner!

This was an excellent addition to our kitchen. I didn't have to add one more switch to the back side of the kitchen sink. Cut a simple hole in the sink and install. I really like that you don't have to take your wet hands and splash the back wall trying to flip a switch. Ease of use: Push the button to turn on. Push it again to turn off. Was worried if it was a hold the button to operate. It is not. You usually have electrical already under your sink, so it is very simple to place the push button device in the sink hole, hook up the hose to both ends and plug it in. Simple.

I bought this Mountain air switch after looking at many different ones, there were no reviews that I could find. The price was right & half price compared to some omline sites for the same one, I took a chance & I am glad I did, what a great air switch, easy to hook up, is well built & works great. You don't have to hold the button down like other leading switchs to keep it running, you press once to start & press again to shut off & it screws right into the extra hole in the sink. Have confidence when you order this air switch because it is a good switch & for the money you can't beat it.

This switch works really well. One thing that has not been mentioned is that the switch does not turn on and off both plugs at once. It turns one off and the other on and then visa versa! Nothing wrong with that since I only really needed one plug but I thought that it was an interesting configuration and wondered why it would be made like that. It does work well though. If you are in need of an air switch...buy this unit and you will not be disappointed.
