Great pen that works exactly as advertised.
Spectacular pen with a couple quibbles. I'm an illustrator, so my review is only really relevant for that. For starters, it makes incredibly crisp, clean lines. It's very juicy and lays down ink pretty smoothly unless you're trying to pull off large board strokes. This is stronger as a detail brush, instead of a large brush for filling in areas with black. Makes great short strokes and tapered lines and unlike literally every other disposable brush pen I own, this will last till the last drop of ink. The tip is a single rubbery wedge and I've yet to get it to fray or soften. It stays sharp till the end.My only real complaint is that the ink is not water-proof. My guess is that the mechanism of how the pen works and to prevent clogging necessitates that but it is a bit of any issue depending on your project. So, if you need to lay a bit of white gouache or white ink on top of it, it will immediately bleed all over the place. If you make an illustration and need to clean it up a bit, you're only real solution is to edit the final product digitally.

Love this Pen!
I really love this pen a lot. I always gravitate to the futayaku pen and Karin brushmarker so this was such a great suggestion/purchase! I really wish pilot would do a color line with these nibs as I happen to think they are pretty well engineered: Super pigmented, smooth and the ink flow is never an issue unless you leave uncapped and an overall satisfaction when you look at the stroke variation and form. If Pilot ever does a expanded set of colors, (and they very well already may but because of the language barrier, I’m prob not searching adequately) and if so I really hope they will be suggested.

Nice pen, tip not as responsive as I like
Nice pen. The point is a bit too mushy for my liking. Doesn't spring back as fast as the Tombow pen but it will do in a pinch. Might buy again, but I do love the Tombow.

BEWARE!!! NOT the pens advertised or shown in the picture!!!!
THE BAD: These are very nice pens, but the pens I received are not the pens advertised!! These are the new model of the discontinued pen advertised. I ordered these because I thought I was lucky to still be able to get some of my favorite pens, which have been discontinued, but they are advertising the discontinued model and selling the new model. The pen in the AMAZON picture is the "old" discontinued version - the one I thought I was buying. They are also charging a lot more for these pens, perhaps because people, like me, will pay more for the older, harder to find model. The model advertised is SV-30KKN-B, which has been discontinued - they are even labeled with the old model number on the packaging. The actual pens I received are model SVS-30KK-B. I might return them because they are so much cheaper elsewhere *CoughJETPENSCoughCough**! In the photos I posted - the first one is the one I received(the new model), the second one shows the two together - old on the left, new on the right. You can see that the old one matches the pic in the AMAZON ad.THE GOOD: Again, very nice pens, but not the pens advertised. I noticed a slightly faster drying time, as advertised by PILOT, which is a definite improvement. Overall seems to be the same quality as the old model - I was worried that the new version might not be as black and opaque nor flow as nicely, but it seems to be about the same. Definitely worth buying, but not worth paying almost double for on Amazon.

The nib is very soft and looks like it may be plastic
As my first brush pen, I wasn't sure what to expect, Tori from Jucy ink had this suggested on her shop page so I decided to buy it and test it out. I had actually ordered this pen twice because the first one I ordered wouldn't be here for a whole month and I needed it way sooner than that, so I reordered. The pen is very wet and it produces lines that stay consistent throughout the stroke which is a must in any pen. The nib is very soft and looks like it may be plastic, but I'm sure it's some variant of felt tip. The ink is very dark and it glides on any surface with ease. I'm very pleased with the pen and I look forward to making tons of art with my new pen!

Soft tip not for beginners
I ordered the hard nib but I'm pretty sure I was sent the soft nib. It's very inky and dark but I hate the soft nib, it's way too flexible for beginners. On the bright side, it's synthetic so I can't wear out the tip too fast but it will take a lot of practice to control this pen as a beginner.

Love it
This pen produces a very dark, juicy stroke, which takes maybe 2-3 seconds to dry on drawing paper. The brush tip feels smooth and offers a bit of rubbery springiness in its resistance. Compared to the Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen - Soft, this "hard" tip actually offers less resistance. This makes it a bit more difficult to control, but allows for more expressive and flowing lines. The only downside is that since the pen goes through ink incredibly quickly, since it produces such a dark and wet line. This is kind of a bummer since it's not refillable, and it's a bit pricey. I've already used up 3/4 of the ink tank on maybe 50 pages of 6"x8" paper. Granted, it may just seem like the ink is being used quickly because I've been writing so much with it.
