Vee Gee Scientific BX-1 Handheld Brix Refractometer, Industrial-Grade, 0-32% Brix Range, 0.2% Resolution, ±0.2% Accuracy, 1-Year Warranty

This is great for measuring Cholrides in water, holds calibration well, is extremely durable with the 100% steel body, and is extremely easy to use and read. I’d say worth every penny if your Flowback or a Pumper in the oil and gas industry needing a good refracometer.

I have been using coolant Refractometer devices for decades of different brands. This is the easiest to read of any I've used. That is the hardest thing about reading the level of concentration, how clear the unit reads your concentration.

good

Heavy well built with glass optics. The cheap refractometers are not durable. Having them break in the middle of crush while in the field creates more costs than the savings. Worth the extra cash to get a quality instrument.

Very good meter for showing us are sugar water ratio which in turn will use all of your Acacian schedule on our desert vineyard

There is next to no difference between the blue and white background, and no distinct line between them, so it's impossible to get an exact reading. The calibration adjustment collar is next to impossible to turn even with the set screw backed out. It has a nice heavy metal feel to it though. It's just too bad it doesn't work.

As expected

very good infromation. more farmers should be using this product

This is an excellent refractometer. DON'T cheap out. Buy this one fair price for a quality product. Metal construction and feels nice in the hands. My only wish would be to have a hard case instead of the soft case. The last one I bought was 1/4 of the price but I could not get it to calibrate and it was made of plastic.

Excellent instrument. Very accurate and easy to use.
