WEN 2312 Variable Speed Multifunction Oscillating Tool,Blue

Initially, I wasn't too sure about ordering one of these "multifunction" tools but I did so anyway. I ordered the WEN at a very good prive and it arrived quickly. I've had it for about 3 days now and have used it on a number of projects. Not only has it saved me time, it's resolved a number of small installation problems I was having. The blade that came with it is actually a very good blade even though it is not as thick as the other blades I ordered. I'm a fix'it guy and the thinner blade definitely is a plus because it works well and does not remove as much material (very thin cut which is often preferred when doing repairs). The tool itself is hefty and appears to be well built and has a full 2 amp with a variable speed motor. I would buy this again in an instant if I needed another one knowing now how good this works.

For a $20 tool, this thing works great and has good features, such as the variable speed control. The blades they send with the unit are of marginal quality, but a wide variety of replacements from many manufacturers will fit. The molded case is nice and keeps things tidy when not in use. A great bargain.

This tool is a must to have! A lifesaver around the house for tasks that require a lot of elbow grease. It'll cut your work in half. In the first week after purchasing, I scrapped glued linoleum from my bathroom floor, removed old caulk from my windows, and sanded down rusty metal prepping it for painting. It is sturdy and well made... I love it and it comes with a nice case too!

Within 15 minutes of the box being tossed on my drive, I had this great little tool loaded with a blade and doing the job I bought it for. I love this little guy, so simple and easy to use. Has all the power needed and Im off to Lowe's today to buy a wider selection of blades for it. Usually I migrate to Milwaukee or DeWalt but their equivalents were more than double the price. This WEN was well worth the change. Im a happy bunny!

I purchased this item in Jan of 2016. It's still working great and I've used it for a wide variety of jobs. The blades it came with weren't very good but I have since collected all types of blades for the multitude of jobs I have used it for. You have to have the right blade for the job. I haven't used it for tile or scraping but I did try to scrap paint but the blades bit into the wood. It's not perfect for every job I'm very happy with this purchase.

We needed a tool to cut specific openings in a wall and to help us with small jobs. We found something similar for a LOT more money but when we purchased the other product, it didn't come with the "bells and whistles" like advertised. The also charged extra for those bells and whistles. We returned it and looked again for something that would work but for less. We found this product. It did all that we needed it to do. It cut through the wood paneling, wood baseboards, and thru the drywall .. which was all we wanted it for. Wait, it also helped us get the cement glue off the studs that the builders used to put up the original drywall, so that new walls could go up flush on the 2x4s. We are very happy we found this product. We've not tried the sander portion, so I am not able to comment on that. We were not given this for a review in exchange. We are actual people, who purchased this product, just because we wanted to try an alternative to the pricey versions out there. Does work, at least for small projects that we needed it for. Would do it again.

Works good. Used it to strip parts from computer circuit boards. Blades that come with it are not made from hardened steel and were destroyed fast. Other than that issue it is a good product so far.

So this thing is pretty loud, but it sure is handy. The attachments for cutting that come with it are limited, so I bought a set of attachments at the local big box store to go with it so I could cut through the nails that were in the 2x4 I needed to remove (due to the mice that were living and dying there behind the wall paneling). Having a case is always a good thing too. Be sure to tighten the cutting attachments well and unplug the thing before putting on or removing an attachment to avoid the possibility of injury (like with a hand drill or saw).

It's shake like crazy (vibrator😄)

The saw blade wouldn't cut through a nail as the video shows. It simply dulled away. Did I get the wrong blade? Can I get this replaced?
