Best choice for comfortable sitting!
This is by far the most comfortable & supportive cushion I have ever had! The last one had to be thrown away when there was a mold issue in the apartment and until I was able to get the replacement, my hips & femurs were miserable; over the years I've had at least 15 different ones - Tempurpedic is the way to go!

Pain reduced quite a bit!
I was worried it would be too firm after reading these reviews. I kept the plastic it to try it out for a day. Got tired of sliding on the plastic and decided to commit. It took a few days to get used to it. At one point my pain came back and I got frustrated. I took the cushion off and when I sat back down I felt like I was sitting on a wood chair and pain was significant worse. I realized my expectation that it would 100% resolve sitting pain was unrealistic. The pain reduction was worth it. I couldn’t put that cushion back fast enough. I find it to be the right amount of firmness for me. I just find it strange they label it as Medium size but don’t offer any other sizes. It’s not as wide as I’d like it to be, but it’s sufficient. Not for larger people
Tempur pedic has always been a company with quality products, imo. I've had a couple of their matresses and they work quite well; until the memory foam eventually breaks down and sags. That's why I put 2 latex mattress toppers on my second one. Latex is more durable than memory foam and I wanted to try compressing the memory foam over some years to make it sag evenly. Right now, though, two latex matress toppers, one firm, one soft is incredibly comfortable on the memory foam bed. This seat cushion seems to be decent quality, though. The only thing is it's too small for anyone who is larger than average; which is a lot of people in the US today, whether by being muscular, fat or both. It's only 16' wide and too small for me.I haven't tried a latex seat cushion, but imo, if you want the ultimate solution for an office chair seat cushion, grab an upper back rest cushion from a junkyard and cut it to the size you need. That's what I've done and none of these cushions can compare because the seat cushions in a car are actually made for sitting comfort.

Baby Bear's Seat Pad
I find this thing the best of all I have tried. It is firm, but not a brick. As you sit it "warms up" and adjusts to your butt. (I like this as a quality description; your hot butt helps form a butt-specific cushioning after around five minutes). I am an overweight person and this thing has improved my work-life a lot. It may not be for you, I like how firm it is and forces you (not literally) to sit upright for posture. I guess I would say to potential buyers that "it works great for me" but I like firm support. If you are heavier than me (220) you may want something even more thick. This is baby-bear's porridge for me, though, and happy to endorse unasked.

Good, but needs a few
As a helicopter pilot, I use this seat cushion for up to 8 hours a day to reduce fatigue and prevent back, leg, and knee pains. It's a lifesaver for those purposes, but it has a few design flaws. I considered buying an Oregon Aero seat cushion with the added lumbar support ($250 total and long wait for delivery) but chose this one because of the price.Likes:Very comfortable for sitting long periods of time. Durable so far. The cushion hasn't broken down at all over the past 6 months of use.Dislikes:A bit too thick. Slippery cover causes the cushion to slide around on seat, especially leather seats. It feels like sitting on a wood plank in cold weather (below 50 degrees F), so if you leave it in a cold car overnight, you won't like it in the morning. A built-in lumbar support (like the Oregon Aero product) would be nice also.

Awful Product
This is a horrible product. I purchased based on a New York Times consumer article on best seat cushion. This product DOES NOT conform to your body. It is just a hard cushion and is no way comparable to a Tempurpedic bed or pillow. Amazon states this product has a high rate of return. Now I know why. It is awful and I returned it.

Worth the money after trying 2 others
Tried 3 different ones before finally dropping the money on this. Excellent product.Had a Target branded one and a Walmart branded one that absolutely did not hold up.Used all for my vehicle which has terrible ride. The Tempurpedic did the trick, and the car is now tolerable. The cover is a nylon type elastic removable. I guess you could wash it if you wanted it.Like all memory foam, it is rock hard when it is cold so it takes a few blocks to become comfortable on cold days. You will literally bounce off the seat the first few blocks. For long trips, excellent support. The price fluctuates tremendously on this. Be patient, you can purchase it for less than then 3 figures, Amazon.com just loves to rip-off people with its price fluctuations.

Too small and two firm for any type of gluteal injuries or hip injuries
Sorry to give this product only two stars but I found that there were two major problems with it. Unless you have a very skinny but this is going to be quite small. It's very narrow. It is also quite firm cell you can feel the edges of the cushion right at the point of the gluteal tendons and if you have an injury that is painful. Would not recommend this for anyone with piriformis injuries because it is very firm.
