Can anyone please compare the size of these batteries to the size of standard 9 volts? Are they the same size as standard batteries or longer?

Amazon 9V batteries received in November 2022 were not larger than a Duracell 9V in any dimension. Carefully measured. Many earlier answers say they are larger, but apparently that problem has been resolved.

Will these fit the standard fire/smoke alarms? comments say that amazon batteries are longer than others which are hard enough to install..thanks

In my review (http://www.amazon.com/review/RNAU5AWNID6IA/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm) I provided detailed measurements and pictures of the batteries and side by side comparisons.The AmazonBasics and a Utilitech "heavy duty" battery, neither of which fit my CO detector, were both right about 0.6mm longer and 0.6mm fatter than a standard Duracell battery which did fit my CO detector. It seems these are the "big" 9v's (Possibly "Heavy duty"?). They do fit in my smoke detectors, but it really comes down to whether you have a cramped battery compartment or one that does weird things to connect the battery. You should probably pass if that's the case or if you've had issues installing your current batteries.

How much ampere for a battery ?

rightbattery has measured them at 481 mAh for a 50 mA (light) load, which is second only to Ikea's - they have test results for a dozen different 9-volts there.

I need these for a rental property. The city requires that they have expiration dates listed on the battery themselves. Can anyone confirm?

The date is very small on the bottom of the battery. Just received a box of 8, expiration 02/2025.
