Elmopalooza VHS

It's hard to find VHS tapes in brand-new condition but this one was still in original shrink-wrap with all the original inserts. Plays perfectly.

Not so good. Seems to be geared more to adults, but completely annoying. My daughter would occasionaly watch, but there are MUCH better Elmo videos out there. My son won't watch it at all.

I will freely admit that I purchased this only because of Jon Stewart, but he is absolutely worth it. He's adorable playing with Elmo (their interaction reminds me of how adorable he was in Big Daddy, playing with the Sprouse boys) and Jon is even more adorable singing with Elmo. I didn't really watch this and think about kids watching Sesame Street, but this is definitely worth viewing just to see Jon Stewart.

We are big fans of Elmo. My 17 month old thinks he's the best. This tape was a bit of a sleeper in our house, though, mainly because it starts out a bit slowly, with a full 10 minutes until the first song. Once we watched it a few times, it caught on, and now it is a daily video. I just wish it had a few more tunes, but it's worth buying.

Our family has an embarassingly large collection of Elmo and Sesame Street DVDs, so I speak from experience... I found this production to be way below par. My 2 1/2 year old son picked it out at the video store and we got through maybe :10 minutes before he volunteered to turn it off and do Play-Doh instead. The plot if poorly contrived, the production value is low, the acting for the most part is awful, and it's basically just a way to stitch together a series of music videos which at his age, my son has no interest in. He did like the part where the muppets try to break open the dressing room with a jack hammer. But I'm not buying the video for a 12 second clip. Better bets: A Celebration of Me, Grover or Sesame Street: The Street We Live On.

I love this video. It is so adorable.The story is so cute.While gathering to celebrate Sesame street in song. The host of the show gets locked in the dressing room. Everyone works together to try to get him out as well as to put on a great show. The guest appearances are wonderful, and all the music is fantastic. I find myself singing and dancing these tunes during the day myself. This is a definite must have for anyone with small children. My kids range in ages from 8 months to 12 years old and all 4 of them love this video. Even my husband likes this video.

I can agree with the other reviews: this video, which is titled to be an Elmo one, does NOT have much Elmo in it. This left my daughter asking for the furry red monster throughout the video. Elmo makes cameo appearances, popping in here and there for a minute or two. The rest of the video is full of fun songs (we love the Mighty Mighty Bosstones one) but not enough character interaction. A little disappointing, but older kids and adults will really appreciate the songs and guest appearances.

My daughter loves this video. I was a little skeptical at first because it is not a normal Sesame Street show. Various songs are performed by famous people and the characters interact in short storylines focusing on putting on a live show. My daughter sits and watches when the characters are talking and she's up and dancing when the stars perform their songs. (Stars include Rosie O'Donnell, Linda Ronstadt, Kenny Loggins, Gloria Estafan, Jon Stewart and others i didn't know until now). Very entertaining yet very different.

大人向きかと思います。大物ゲストたちが素敵なセサミの曲を歌ったりしているのです。ただし、、、私が一番大好きだったセリーヌ・ディオンとエルモのHappy to Meet Youが入っていなかったのが本当に残念です。同じタイトルのCDにはこの曲が入ってるみたいなので気になる方は是非聞いてみてください。

FUGEESが出演とのことで、息子（1歳４か月）のためというよりは自分のために購入しました。ミュージックビデオとしてとても楽しめました。エルモのハモりには感心します。息子も釘付けとまではいかないですがよーーく観ています。英語の勉強にも良いかと思われます。

アメリカの歌手に詳しい人には楽しめる作品。有名シンガーとセサミのキャラクターの共演は見ごたえ十分。ただし、大人向きの作品だと思います。
