Always wanted one!
I was surprised when Atlantis reissued the old Revel l 1/96th scale B-24.I hadn't heard of them and after seeing the model offered at a store I checked the web and learned the firm was releasing many old Revell, Monogram and Aurora kits.I always wanted one of the old Aurora HUP/H-25 kits so I ordered it through Amazon.I received it 34 hours later! The molds are in great shape for their age (circa 1954), but there is some flash on small pieces like the wheels.I compared it with my old Helicopter for Industry example and the molds have aged very well. It is molded in olive deal plastic. The decals consist of two U.S. Army ships (including the box top example which replicate the old Aurora kit decals) as well as a yellow Marine rescue ship and a Navy orange and gray example assigned to an aircraft carrier for plane guard duties. The decals certainly look first rate and went on without issue.A word of caution, this is a lot from the dawn of plastic models. There are just 16 pieces, so don't expect a 21st century level of details. However, the kit can be updated with a better interior (using donor parts from another kit), rear fuselage bulkhead and a correct looking exhaust pipe.I built a bulkhead out of flat sheet plastic and added a exhaust pipe after drilling a hole in the aft fuselage.II also added control pedals in front of both pilot seats (made out of staple gun staples cut in half and mounted in modeling clay). After looking at photos online and wanting to make it more accurate, I shaped the back of the instrument panel with putty. But even if you build it out of the box it will be a nice display piece and reminder of the way kits used to be.

Expensive for what it is...but still good.
Overall its an okay little kit, but it was super simple for the price. We didn't have one though in our 50+ model collection, so it's a nice addition.

another forgotten gem from the Atlantis wayback machine.
I was going to pass this one by, until I saw a youtube video on it, and I decided to give it a try. The fuselage halves fit together perfectly, with no gaps. The fuselage still needed a lot of sanding and scraping to get rid of the top and bottom seam. The interior was pretty sparse. There were two moulded seats and control sticks and a instrument panel. It wasn't much, but its perfect for scratch builders. Highly recommended.

Collectors' Aurora Piasecki H-25 Model Kit is reissued after over 60 Years
This kit is a reissue of the old Aurora model kit from the 50's. It was originally manufactured by Helicopters for Industry before Aurora purchased the molds in the mid 50's. Improved decals; otherwise an olive drab plastic copy of the original old model kit. A fun kit to have for the collector, or beginning builder. Not competitive with today's model kits, this old kit is a simplified kit that you can 'build' in an hour.

Box is bigger than 'S' series
Just like the old Revell kit, complete to the box art.

Disappointed
Was happy to pick and order this old time helicopter to add to my collection of timeline production of helicopters. But noticed one piece the control stick was missing.
