This isn’t a review I don’t think, I’m just saying about how much I love this book.
Okay so, this was my favorite book when I was in middle school- I maybe read it so much that I could remember everything that happened verbatim. While we were moving I accidentally lost it and thought I would never be able to find it again, but I did! I have not been able to pry my eyes off of this book for near hours, it severely interests me to the same degree to this day! This book was my number one favorite and still is today.

Odd shipping
So far, this book is good. Excellent hook. Amazon sent the books one at a time, and shipping was extended and sporadic.

Entertaining... but I was hoping for more
Chris Wooding may be my favorite author. He at least gets into the top five. The Ketty Jay books are amazing. So is the Malice series. So maybe I approached this with my expectations too high. This book started out interesting and different, and I was encouraged. Alas, it then devolved into a fairly typical "monsters are killing everyone and taking over and how will our plucky heroes survive?" kind of tale. What I like about Mr. Wooding's other books was how they don't follow the beaten path in their plots. In this one, it was pretty easy to tell what was going to happen by the time I was about a third of the way through, right down to who would survive, which bad person would find their true purpose and turn good, and which authority figure would lose their mind and become the focus of evil. Nevertheless, it's an entertaining read and while not ground-breaking, it is certainly an enjoyable tale.

For a reluctant boy reader
Bought it for a reluctant boy. Think he will like it.

I love it
I loved everything about this book, except for the fact that it's ending wasn't clear; it left a gigantic cliff hanger, sort of a let-off. I was expecting for the virus to end, or everyone dying, even. But all that we are given is a ride off into the sunset, unsure of what to do next. I didn't like the ending much at all, but aside from that it was amazing.

A Great Book
This is one of the best books I've read in a while. What made this book so good is the use of suspense to drive the story. I could never put this down (which ate up lots of sleep). Also the Sci-fi elements are really interesting. I won't spoil it but the concept was really intriguing and that's part of why this book is amazing. The book is really well written and I was satisfied those nine dollars were put to good use.

A fun, not too gory zombie book with resourceful English ...
A fun, not too gory zombie book with resourceful English school kids pitted against zombies that get bigger and smarter as time goes on.

great story for young and older adults
the only reason this book gets 4 and not 5 stars is that the action is a little repetitive after a while. some great rite-of-passage stuff for some of the kids in the book and overall a great read if you're not expecting top-notch literature. Not as good as some of his later novels, but still a really enjoyable jaunt.

Editorial error - great book, a mirror for our times, but chapter 11 repeated twice
So far am loving the book, as I do all Chris Wooding books, but chapter 11 is repeated twice, which the editors a scholastic may want to fix.

Book was great, but chapters repeated
Book was amazing! Only problem is that whole chapters were repeated on the download I received. Not the first time this has happened to me. I've also had chapters that were missing on some books. Guess I should be glad this wasn't one of them
