Diabetes Portion Plate

I bought this for a family member who is diabetic to help them with their meal planning and to see what they should be eating. Problem was that it was not wrapped in anything that indicated to the post office that it should be handled with care and when I opened it the entire plate was broken which was a shame. I would have loved to have had them use it and it looked like it had some great information on it. Maybe some day...

The pictures on the plate are a good reminder of what I should be eating. Of course, it isn't as accurate as a scale but is so much easier to use.

I purchased this portion plate for my husband as he is a diabetic. Nice glass plate but the black portion markings eventually washed off. You can make out where they were on the plate if you look at it real close. We now pretty much use it for just an extra plate. I also purchased the portion snack bowl which is very useful to him and myself when serving him.

I hung this in my kitchen over the light switch. Its a good visual and I just look at it when I'm cooking. Its a knowledge thing.
