COLOR WOW Root Cover Up – Temporary Hair Color Touch-Up

I've been using Color Wow to cover gray roots between salon visits as well as filling in sparseness where I could see my pink scalp peeking through at the top/front. It works great for me. I use the Medium Brown color and I think (I hope) it's natural looking and undetectable. I wouldn't say it gives complete coverage to solid gray hair but if you are like me, maybe a mix of some percentage of brown and gray hair, it does a pretty good job of covering. I try to avoid getting it into the part itself. I think it looks more natural to "paint" in strokes going away from the part to cover the hair, rather than wildly spreading it all over the part. Also, try to use a light hand when doing your hairline at your forehead. You don't want a sharp, obvious, unnatural line of demarcation. If you use too much you can wipe away and soften/blur the line with a tissue. A little goes a long way. Don’t feel like you need to keep reapplying it to the brush. Use sparingly. It lasts all day, even multiple days if you aren't washing your hair. It may rub off on your pillow case depending on how much you use and how you sleep (stomach, side or back). I really don't notice it on my pillow case except for once in a while, so I can't say it never happens. One compact lasts a long time for me, like a 2-3 years. It just depends how much and how often you use. I only need to use it a couple days a week. Excellent -- covers gray and bald spots. Does not come off unless washed with shampoo or soap, will not run. If you put too much, just the excess off with tissue or those make up removing cloths (dry).

This is a great product. It works really good for temporary touch ups or in between dying. It’s a bit expensive but you will not regret the purchase.

I've used this a few times. It does cover the gray but sometimes I have a big brown mark. You have to "blot" on so if your hairline may have been sparse in an area you may see blot. Not sure i would buy again

I get my roots done every four weeks, but this stuff gets me through week three. Easy to use, but a little messy from compact to brush. Waterproof and doesn't seem to rub off on clothing.

This is a great product! It was recommended by my stylist and it works wonders between coloring. I have to do my roots every 2 weeks as I am fully gray and dye my hair my formerly natural brown. I can now go 3-4 weeks between coloring. Goes on easily. Does not come off unless I scratch . Then a bit gets under my nails. Well worth it for the great coverage. I use the medium brown. Lasts until my next shampoo. Also perfect for long trips when you can't touch up the roots.

This stuff is AMAZING! And water-resistant OMG!!! I did actually say "WOW" when I started using it! I'm very active, have extremely thin, fine hair, and thinning hair on top of that. I hate coloring because I always have hair fallout and more breakage, but within a couple weeks you can see gray. My scalp shows also from hair thinning and I can get so depressed standing in a restaurant bathroom with overhead lighting that glows off my scalp! Spray covers work only for an evening after style is perfect and hope that when you spray - it's even. Fibers only work if the placement is also perfect and there's no wind or moisture. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally dumped on my hairline. I have tried other powers, but moisture....yikes, it drips down my forehead like mascara. I have tried liquid mascara-type covers and stick covers, sticks work better, but all of the above either don't cover perfectly or sticky feeling or both, if touched will come off, and someone with super fine hair gets weighed down with product and looks greasy or strange. This stuff covers amazing with very little product. There is a slight stickiness to it the more product you apply, but so much less. If you rub it, there may be the slightest residue, but barely. And I have gone swimming and exercising without any issues. It really does need to be washed out. Instruction of pulling dry hair tight to scalp and apply to roots is exactly that. I pull it tight to scalp, then opposite for ponytail. I kept telling my husband how incredible this product really is. He keeps saying, "You already told me that", and I'm like, "You just don't understand - this stuff is amazing!!!" Takes 5-15 min to apply depending on hair style and amount of grey or scalp. I sometimes use in Conjunction with: Fanci-Full liquid (after shampoo before hairdry). OR Everpro Gray Away Root Stick (for baby hairs in front). Get this WOW product girls! It's expensive, but oh so worth it! I'm getting a lighter version for summer highlights too.

I gave this a try but unfortunately it is not natural looking at all. The brush is too harsh and when you apply the color, it colors your scalp not necessarily your hair, so you end up with a big patch of color that doesn't blend in with your hair. It is so obvious, I am not using this and still searching for other options.

This Root Cover Up in Medium Brown is my absolute go-to for covering roots. It blends seamlessly with my hair color and looks completely natural - no harsh lines or obvious patches. je suis très satisfaite , la poudre est bien pigmentée et tient bien sur le cheveux. Appliquer mèche par mèche, il faut bien tendre la mèche, la plaquer contre le cuir chevelu et étirer la poudre avec le pinceau. Parfait permet d'attendre un peu entre 2 visites chez le coiffeur, les racines sont dissimulées.La couleur est fidèle à la photo. J'ai beaucoup de mèches blondes et j'ai pris le brun moyen pour mes racines sur les conseils de ma coiffeuse et je ne regrette pas. En plus contrairement au produit en bombe,qui colle les cheveux , avec ce produit les cheveux reste souple. je recommande ce produit

I’ve been colouring my roots in between full colour application for years now (over 15) and I've been using a colour pen, the same make as the colouring I buy. I saw this advertised by someone on social media, someone I trusted and who showed just how good it was and thought I would give it a go. Wow (as the name suggests!), it's amazing!! Literally, you only need a little bit and it's so easy to apply with the brush applicator that comes with it. No mess, no water involved, easy, quick and effective - stays in until the next wash. You apply it to the grey hairline, where needed and does a very good job of disguising greys and regrowth without looking heavy or chalky, and once applied it stays put throughout the day. I also appreciate that it doesn’t leave residue on pillows or transfer easily onto hands. It’s especially useful for quick touch-ups before meetings or going out, and I’ve found it effective for filling in sparse areas around the temples as well as covering roots. The finish looks matte and natural rather than overly pigmented or shiny. Overall, this feels like a high-quality, professional product that delivers on its claims and is ideal for maintaining colour between appointments.
