Door lock
I was told it was a easy install

Only as strong as your door frame
Not really sure what rating to give it. It was installed 3 days ago and I hated that it was so stiff to turn the knob that that really hurt my fingers and wrist. Some machine oil made it much easier. I also hated having to use the code (6 letters and numbers) to close the door each time, as well as to open it. Anyway, we went out today and returned to find the door open, the lock missing and part of the door frame missing too. A thief had forced the door until a large section of the wooden door frame ripped off. The lock was gone too (photo).

Great quality, easily installed
Great quality product which I've put on my side gate. Since I have a pool, I don't feel comfortable with my gate being latch only. I was considering adding an RFID entry system, but then I came across this. My gardeners and pool guy love it as they don't have to fiddle with keys or combo locks. So far it's working flawlessly and I expect it to continue to do so.

Poor instructions, poor quality
The lock came with 2 sets of instructions, neither of which appear to be for the correct lock. The language in the instructions is correct, but not entirely helpful - e.g. there's a diagram showing "right hinge" and "left hinge" doors, but the rest of the instructions refer to "right open" and "left open" doors in inconsistent terms. I was able to figure it out by just imagining the direction the lock would be mounted and the way it needed to be configured, but it could've been a lot easier. The instructions for resetting the code appear to be for the wrong lock. For contrast, look up the M220 lock on the LockeyUSA site and observe the super clear instructions and a video showing exactly how to set the code.I could get over all that, but when I tried to unscrew a plate to change the direction of the deadbolt, the first screw I tried to loosen immediately got stuck so bad that trying to get it to move started to strip the head.Returning and hoping for better luck with the M220.

Missing hardware
I have to give 3 stars for missing hardware; it came with the wrong size screws! Probably 2 or 1 stars would be fair because finding the exact length, thread, and head of proper machine screws took some time. Shipping the wrong parts is really unforgivable. But this is a good lock for some applications, particularly a surface mount latch. The combo resets fine and works okay. As others have mentioned, the lock mechanism is not the best.Installation will probably require some minor or intermediate carpentry skills. I installed this on a shed with a thick door and it required routing the lock face about .75” into the wood. This took some effort and time.

Easy to program. Works well.
I rigged a lock on my wooden gate using this deadbolt. Since the maximum installation thickness is not enough to get through a 4x4 (come on, guys, how hard would this be?), I had to do a lot of custom installation, but I knew that going in. I searched around and did not find anything better than this lock for my application. A version that would be mountable on a 4x4 fence post would be a home run, even if I had to buy a kit with the longer screws and actuation plate.

Im locked out!
In first putting the lock on my Scamp, I thought it was just the ticket. Now as I am preparing to go camping, the lock is engaged and I can get in. Im locked out of my camper. Thankfully i'm at home. I have pushed the clear button but it isn't allowing me to unlock the lock. My son now will have to remove the door, disassemble the lock and I'm hoping I can still use it as a handle for now. This will need to be replaced by Sept as I have a trip planned.

Does the job!
Used on vinyl fence gate. A little difficult to install but works great.
