Cloyes 9-0398SA Engine Timing Chain Kit

After searching all over the web for a timing kit, I settled on this one.Best product for the price, its the next best thing to a Motorcraft kit. The parts are labeled Borg-Warner. And the primary chain tensioner is the new design with 6 leaf springs. Old design used 3, leading to chain slapping. All the sprockets are great quality, along with the chains. The cassettes are durable and fit extremely well. This kit is for the SOHC without a balance shaft.

Great quality, but missing a couple of key gaskets, plugs, and bolts that should be replaced when doing your chains. The missing parts aren't expensive. It's really dumb that they're not included. Not a complete kit.Update: At least one of the tensioners is going bad already. Will contact seller and see what they can do for me.update: after less than 12000 miles one of the guides broke. contacting seller about replacement set. Changed to one star review pending seller action.2-27-2019 Amazon came through and sent me a new set.

Highly satisfied after first year of service. First purchase was kit with balance shaft chain (4 chain kit). After disassembly only needed the 3 chain kit, easy return through amazon, second kit arrived quickly, quality seems good, no issues so far. Would definitely buy again for the next engine we rebuild.
