Summary=======Each of the pieces in this set is high quality, well machined and fully compatible with OEM GoPro equipment. Having aluminum parts gives me far more confidence than the plastic parts supplied as standard when using the GoPro in high-vibration action settings.These parts are also available individually but I happened to be looking to buy the items in this kit so it worked well for me.Thumb Screws===========These, as pictured, are the same size as the longer of the two standard screw lengths. This works well when using the screw with the GoPro case itself as the end of the screw sticks out past the side of the case to make fastening much easier. The texturing on the end of the screws makes tightening by hand much easier, especially in wet conditions. Each screw comes with a nut that matches the ones installed in the GoPro connectors as standard, so you can swap them in as spares if necessary. The little rubber grommets are about 1/32" in thickness and the screw can go a maximum of about 1/4" into the nut so you are surrendering some contact to use it, but for the additional tightness and friction that the rubber affords, it's probably worth it.Tripod Mount==========This is a really small and lightweight item that screws easily onto the quick release plate of a tripod. I use it with a Gorilla Pod where its small form factor is appreciated. Made of aluminum with a built-in bolt, the tripod mount is a great little accessory.Wrench======This is well machined with smooth, rounded edges and the color is faithful to the picture of the product. It fits both the OEM plastic thumbscrews as well as the ones in this set, although I'd say it fits the aluminum ones included better. I find with the plastic ones it tends to be a little more fiddle due to the taper and smooth surface, but it does the job.

I'm deeply impressed with these - admittedly, I'm always a little skeptical when buying anything made of Chinesium, especially since there are so many listings for identical products each with awkward brand names; I'm really glad that I got this set though. Very well machined, and nicely finished too - the thumb screws are lightly knurled, which is a nice feature, but you can also use the included wrench to tighten them up if you're wearing gloves or have wet hands; though I'd be extra careful not to over-tighten them.Positives aside, I do have to concur with one of the other reviews, in that this adapter doesn't quite allow for complete 90° movement in the forward or backward direction. It's really not that bad - by eye, it looks to be more like 75-80° in both directions, which is fine for my use (mounting my GoPro on a monopod walking stick). If you're need the full 90°, you should probably keep looking (or just add another link).Overall, this is a solid accessory for a fraction of the price of the official GoPro stuff.

Very nice pieces, well worth the price.The tripod mount is perfect, no mucked up threads in the aluminum, the anodizing is perfect.The thumbscrews are very well made, threads are perfect, not loose in genuine gopro parts either.The wrench has great fitment with the smatree thumbscrews and like they claim, even works with the gopro thumbscrews.These are so well made i might just go completely aluminum with every possible gopro item i can, more than happy with this purchase.

Like most non-branded parts, the tolerances are slightly different than factory, but perfectly workable. I'm using this with a SublimeWare aluminum housing, and the combination is able to hit about 180 degrees of freedom. The screws are excellent, much easier to use than the factory parts, with secure engagement from the longer threads, and the screws provide much better 'bite' when tightening by hand. If you really need it to stay put, use the wrench. Excellent combo with any screw-mount tripod, stick, etc...standard screw base.

This product came in a nice little package and it has mostly what I need. Given it's aluminum, it's really lightweight. The screw fits perfectly in the GoPro mount and looks sturdy. As I'm using it as replacement for the plastic screw, I didn't have a need for the rubber ring and head on the end. Overall, a good set for your bucks and better than it's plastic counterpart.

I got one of these last year to mount my gopro to my road bike. I had a mounting spot for a GPS that I modified with this mount. It worked perfectly and I liked that it was still low profile when I did not have the camera on it. I recently went through my order history and bought a second one to use with a selfie-stick kind of thing. Solid product and the price is right.

This is the second Smatree accessory I’ve purchased and this is just as nice as the case for the Mavic 2 pro I’ve purchased. Very well thought out and built part. Is very light, rigid and the anodizing is also very nice. I’m using it in conjunction with the PGYTECH Camera Mount for the Mavic 2 drone. Couldn’t be happier. IMG_1997.HEIC

Got tired of the breaking plastic GO Pro junk so I ordered these. Top notch quality, very durable and well made. To heck with the overpriced go pro junk. I replaced my entire collection of mounting accessories with alum. Well worth it and much more stable and steady on my bicycle.
