(FPT2600E Fuel Cap Pressure Test System

Needed to get a gas cap tester for emissions diagnosis. We use to use the gas cap tester that is part of our state emissions inspection machine. Unfortunately the state issue us a new emissions machine that doesn't have a gas cap tester. The state no longer requires us to test gas caps for emissions inspection but, we still need to test gas caps for emissions diagnosis. After checking around for a tester. I find that they were very expensive. Around $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 dollars from the local parts stores. Checked online and found the same tester for $800.00 dollars less. Got the tester after waiting for 6 weeks to be located and shipped. The first time I order this tester it was a A/C Delco model. Same as the Wakeon one but branded A/C Delco. After waiting to 2 months I finally had to cancel it. Then a reordered the Wakeon one. It works well and we can use our old Stant gas cap adaptors that we use to use with our old emissions machine. There is a hole in the pump that came up after about 3-4 weeks. I've purchased this item several times (from other sites, too) and this is the first time it broke so quickly. Will definitely be buying these away from JB Tools and/or Amazon from now on. Waste of money.

This has been refurbished. It did not say that in the description. I would send it back but we were in really bad need of this to perform our state inspections. Seems like a little bit of bate and switch. Not happy!

when i received this unit in 2015 and within 10 days we had to call the manufacture to replaced the pump. this unit is not used alot. 2 weeks ago we need to use it and it wouldn't work. call the manufacture and they said it will be a min of 300.00 for repair or replace which is a rebuilt unit. i would use something else if possible. if not buy the warranty and be ready to send it in on a regular bases.

Like our old one better this one takes much more time to check the gas cap

I had mine for 3 months before it started failing. I don't understand why a cheaply made product that only tell you if something is holding pressure cost so much. These are the only kind approved in the inspection program. I am sure the government or some official is getting paid on this one.
