The mailbox is not plastic. Architectural Mailboxes' Chadwick mailbox is durably made from galvanized steel for longevity then fully powder coated in a black finish with contrasting nickel flag. The Chadwick is equipped with an attractive cast aluminum handle and textured molded resin frame. It's a great mailbox.
