Symmons P-112N Replacement Pop-Up Drain Rod Assembly

I have never changed any pop up drain rod before, but it was not difficult. The worse part was getting under the sink. I had a 5/8 ball and it fit perfectly for me. The rod was a little longer than the old one but I did not have to cut it. Great product (stainless rod) and a great price.

This was my third drain pop-up arm/ assembly purchase and the only one to fit my Hansgrohe drain. Quality seems better than the original.

The product was an easy install, only taking about 5 minutes. It took longer moving the organizing baskets out of the way than the actual install. The only negative was the metal silver screw cap didn’t fit the inlet pipe orifice for the drain assembly. I had to use the one that was already on my sink piping.

I have a Grohe 23129000 bath sink faucet. The stopper pivot rusted out after 4 years. Should have lasted longer. Needed a replacement pivot ball lever. Measured the existing and compared with dimensions provided by another customer. All matched except for the length. Figured I can cut the rod. Which I had to do once I got the part. Perfect fit and saved myself $40 from Grohe replacement.

I purchased this kit because the end rusted off my original assembly. I'm not the original owner so I don't know what it's replacing. It's not the model for this kit. The new cover didn't fit but I used the old one. The new ball was slightly smaller than the old one but it fit okay. I didn't have to cut the rod. I didn't use the rubber o-ring because the old kit didn't have one. I feel like this needs two plastic washers to work, not one, but it's working with no leaks. (I know the ball size is important for y'all reading reviews but I can't measure it, sorry. )

Been looking for replacement rods for a little bit, but I don't feel that a metal rod and plastic ball are worth over 10 bucks each. (Or 20 bucks for a universal kit)These didn't have the size of the ball, and the Q&A wasn't clear. A few days after having them in my cart, the price went down to $4.30 each, so I decided to order them and see if they'd fit.First thing I did when I got them was measure the ball through the baggie they come in. After confirming they were the size I needed, I used them.These are the dimensions: (Also in the picture I added)The ball is16.35mm or 5/8 inches in diameter. (15.875mm is 5/8 inches, to be more exact))The ball is 14.3mm when measuring parallel to the rod. (9/16) (It has flat ends where it touches the rod)The diameter of the rod is 4.95mm (3/16)The short end is 34.5mm (1 & 5/16)The long end is 138mm (5 & 3/8)The short rod has a 2x1mm chamfer to it so the end has a cone-like shape.(Fractions to nearest easy to remember)

I bought this to replace one that broke, but the circumferenece is thicker than my old one and it doesn’t include a clamp. It wouldn’t fit through the clamp I already had. I had to jury-rig it to complete the install.

Works great and great deal for the price.

Seems pretty solid and fits really well. My old one were all rusted up, to the point that it snapped. Considering that this one is stainless steal, it shouldn't run into that problem. Fitted no problem. Didn't use the black O-ring though. Not sure what that's for and my old one didn't have one so I just installed it without the o-ring. Fits perfectly, checked multiple times for leakage and no leaks so far.
