What an upgrade for my son's bike. Fit on his Trek Marlin and was pretty easy to do, put new cables on also and the braking is great now.

I didn’t expect there to be a significant improvement over the no-name mechanical calipers that came with my budget ancheer ebike - I’m happy to say I was proven wrong! These calipers are powerful and exceed their price point significantly.The basic brakes that came on my ebike never really cut it and failed to stop the bike at reasonable distances. When the pads finally wore out, they proved to be difficult to find replacement pads and this tektro caliper with pads was a cheaper replacement than the original pads alone.The install was super easy- just slide the new caliper onto the cable, adjust the brake pads, and you’re ready to roll! (lots of good YouTube if you need help on install or adjustment.)Now I’ve got powerful brakes that use a much more standard pad shape!I definitely recommend these if you’re leaning to mechanical over hydraulic for your bike.One note! If you’re putting this on a rear hub ebike, you will need a low profile 5mm hex key to adjust the inner pad- the motor prevents most standard hex keys from reaching otherwise.

I ordered it and it is exactly what I got.

This was an exact replacement for the disc brake actuator installed on my RadRunner Plus ebike. It was easy to replace but the reason for the replacement is the reason I knocked this actuator down in rating; the cable retaining nut and bolt setup is very poorly designed and causes unnecessary fraying of the cable as it cinches tight.The original nut had become rounded, by the bike "pros" that replaced my brake pads last year, and I found their rigged up crimping when I replaced the brake cable (I extended my handlebars by 4 inches and needed more length in my cable to accommodate). Just glad I found it before it came apart on its own!

Easy to install. Work well.

The brakes that came on the bike were a no name Chinese brand and lasted less than a week. These are perfect and work fantastic. I would re-command these to people looking to replace bad brakes.
