It is not a sealed unit. It is well built and works to move liquid. I enclosed the unit in an electric utility box to use it outside.

Can I use this pump with an aquarium Calcium Reactor for continuing flow?

It’s a solid continuous duty pump. I’ve had mine running no stop for 8 months with no issues as part or a automatic water change system.
