Awesome metal pickups!!!
These pickups are just my favorite metal passive pickups ever. Very aggressive tone and extremely versatile. Took a while to hook up these with my Jackson guitar but in the end after soldering, this price point was worth it. Luckily these were in a sale for 120$ so I’m super lucky that I got an awesome deal for these !!!

Better tone and gain than active pickups.
In one word: ImpressiveI took a Schecter Damien-6 with active EMGs (85/81) and swapped them out for these Seymour Duncan Invaders. Ditched the 9-volt battery for some awesome passive humbuckers. They deliver so much more low end tones that my amplifier initially was overdriven. But after setting the EQ to compensate, I could hear the night and day difference. The sustain is probably the most notable difference, in that the sound carries for much much longer than anything I’ve seen from a passive pickup, and certainly better than my EMGs.As mentioned briefly, they are LOUD. No need to raise the humbuckers up closer for a boost in gain anymore. I have these set flush with the guitar body and I still have incredible tone.Completely transformed my guitar into a beast. Best upgrade ever.

Much needed upgrade
All I needed was a soldering iron and some basic tools. I have no electronics work training other than a couple YouTube videos. Not hard to install at all. The sound and sustain is so much better. This was a great upgrade for my epiphone Les Paul standard. People online say the stock pick ups are good but I think these are way better.

Some of the best high lows and mids I’ve ever gotten from pickups in my 25 years of playing

Very nice high output humbuckers perfect for metal
These pickups are fire high output very nice lows awesome distortion and sustain I installed these into a squier bullet telecaster blackout FSR that already had humbuckers installed from the factory if you decide to go with the EMG solderless wiring kit make sure to opt for the telecaster switch and not the little square pickup bus did not fit with original selector switch in the cavity pickups fit fine in the pickup cavities installed with the original pickup housing rings

Blew stock pickups away
These blow the stock pickups away. They make you really feel the power chords. And they ain't as dark as the rest of the Internet would have you believe. Anyone who likes heavy music should give a consideration, I play a bit of metal core and this is exactly what ive been looking for without going emg

... my Gibson Les Paul and I wasn't initially too happy with them
I put this set into my Gibson Les Paul and I wasn't initially too happy with them. For the music I play (hard rock,) they seemed to have a little too much output. After using them for a while, I'm starting to like them more and more as I'm learning many new things to try with them. They are actually pretty rough, yet smooth. They almost have an indescribable sound, which I think sometimes makes it hard to come up with new music unless you're balls to the wall metal.
